I think they're laughing behind the scenes.

" It seems way more like there's no-one who understands anything about balancing in the dev team. They see complaints about something but do not understand what it means, and roll a dice to hope some obscure change fixes everything. Also seems like someone just randomly changes things without others knowing, since patch notes are missing half the stuff. |

" This is fundamentally why you don't listen to the face value complaints of the user. This is a problem for all software development projects. Users are very bad at identifying their problems; they often identify a surface level thing that they believe to be their problem, laser focus on it, while their actual problem remains off in the distance and changes to adjust to their stated problem ends up not solving the problem. I've literally dealt with this myself. The vast majority of users do not identify their problems well. It's the job of the developers to analyze what they are saying and attempt to figure out what is actually wrong. They didn't do this, thus they failed. |

I really wanna know who is behind the ideas of ground effects. POE is the only game has annoying ground effects even after you kill enemies. And each new patch they are shoving new kind of boring/annoying ground effects in the name of challange.

" It is not meant to be taken literally, jesus christ, it is figurative. |

How is it figurative when you can witness it in this thread and dozens of other like it?
Grown men are crying their eyes out, because they had a literal maphack taken away and now they have to actually navigate the zone they're in and you know... play the game. What do you truly want? To zone into the map, navigate from icon to icon - each has to drop a divine when it disappears - then zone out? Infinite retries, and no xp loss when your character flops to top it off? Then what is the point in even playing? Ever asked yourself that, genius? |

they be like haha for 0.4 to make the players come back
by "fixing" the issues they "designed" on purpose |

We need to restore the previous number of items and skulls on the map. Without this, there's no sense of reward and it's harder to navigate the map.
