Performance in the future/at release

Yes, there is a problem with that, firstly: overclocking a ivy bridge processor currently is a bad idea because there was a special discovery, because intel saved on the heat sink medium.

So you should not overclock right now, and btw, even the basic configuration of the 3570k is good enough to run 2 high end games on high quality.

If you want something better, that doesn't run hot, reverse the overclocking and check the stuff with the "intel saving on heat sink medium".

False facts are false. This is not a 'special discover' and was known at release. Secondly, i monitor my temperatures. I know what im doing.

Besides, ivy bridge has more performance per clock.

Also: PoE doesnt run 'hot' per se, it just runs hotter than other games of similar grpahical quality.

Running fine does not equal well optimized. It runs fine for me as well, but its not well optimized. Do benchmarks on PoE compared to well optimized games of similar graphical fidelity.

You do realize the M stands for Mobile? and that this thread was started by a laptop user, not a desktop user?

The 480 GTX is a powerful card.
Well, just read the manifesto, it says the game will get optimized code (somewhere, I remember not exactly where) on release. So yeah :) and btw, if it is not that optimized, who cares? most triple A are HORRIBLY optimized (Call of Duty games, Dragon Age etc etc).

So yeah, most games have to take risks to give something in return.

For example Neverwinter Nights was horribly optimized but was a awesome game :).

A lot of people.

A lot of people + one more.

The thing is that for a non port computer game it has very little graphic options. With latest patches, the game runs even worse now on my old comp, and if they don't implement turning of different options like fog, lower textures and others, I doubt I will be able to run the game in the end.

A Hint, don't use apple products, get a fucking pc. You can get a good PC for 600 euro, a good macbook costs fucking 2000 euro.

Your argument is NULL, you failed by buying a macbook, if you would have bought a good pc to start with, you would have ENOUGH money left to buy a second pc 2 years later or 3.

This is just a whine thread from a mac moron... seriously.

The MacBook I'm going to get is going to be $1300, a far cry from 2000 euro, and it will be able to play most things pretty decently including this game. And this MacBook that I have now only cost $1000. So your numbers are rather incorrect.
Which MacBook is that?
The main problem I have is that my FPS jumps all over the place, from 50 to 110 then back to 65 then up to 95. I turned on Vsync but it still does it. I don't know what to do, but most of the time I don't notice it anyways.
