Performance in the future/at release
Nice turning my comment into "lol you're saying this should run on my abacus".
He was asking about two completely reasonable things (general state of optimization and more display options). Telling people who don't buy a new machine every two years that they should not be able to play games is pretty kindergarten level. The dumb is strong in this one

" Exactly! I don't think it'd be too much to ask for the option to disable reflections on the water, or bump mapping, or the foliage (particularly in Act 2). I think any one of those would help immensely for older systems. I'll be getting a new computer soon (or, more specifically, a new MacBook cause I have drank the kool-aid and it is delicious) so it won't be an issue then, but I'm just curious. I like disabling most things in games like this since your FPS and game speed is so crucial in having the edge on mobs, other players, etc. |

The game is extremely CPU-limited and GPU usage is very low. A lot can be done to even this out.
We'll obviously get sliders for things like particle effects. Terrain shadows really need to be baked in, and that will help a lot. The Amazon Basin: A Community of Friends Playing Games

This game also likes to run hot, and i can agree it's poorly optimized (and im running a 3570k overclocked to 4.6 and a GTX 570)

A Hint, don't use apple products, get a fucking pc. You can get a good PC for 600 euro, a good macbook costs fucking 2000 euro.
Your argument is NULL, you failed by buying a macbook, if you would have bought a good pc to start with, you would have ENOUGH money left to buy a second pc 2 years later or 3. This is just a whine thread from a mac moron... seriously. OS: Win 11

" It's not trolling if it's true. The pricing. Not the moron thing. My computer cost 666$. Runs just everything smoothly (70+ fps in the heaviest PoE areas). Don't know how much this is in other countries, but even if you just spend 100$ on a new graphics card each year, you'll run everything just fine. "That's how you die properly, Sailor Boy.."

Apple is far more expensive than their hardware and casings justify, that's no mystery, or it shouldn't be.
For example that MacBook of his from '08 runs a really shitty card, I bought my laptop a year before and have almost the exact same GPU. Mine was considerably cheaper as well. Now for gamers wanting laptops, quality of the GPU compared to the rest of the system is usually a problem with most manufacturers, not just Apple. You'll for example get a state of the art i7 CPU and 16 GB of RAM in a laptop, but your GPU will still be a cruddy 630M. That's all well and good for people who don't play games, for frankly, I'd rather have an i3 or i5 dual core, 8GB og RAM, and a 640M or 650M where the clocks are higher and the shaders are doubled, but those don't exist, for some weird reason. |

Strange, the game is running fine on my 2500K and GTX480 at 1440x2560 with everything on max....
