Your MOST DISAPPOINTED 3 games of all time

1. Command & Conquer game after EA bought Westwood- they were great and after EA got there they lost their souls and became money grinding machines (lots of potential but ruined)

2. All CoD games- the hipe is so high, everyone is like, CoD is so good, and, play this new one, but they all turn out to be boring and like any other game just without any imagination (was ruined from the start)

3. Mass Effect 3- speaks for itself (had potential but ruined)
Given the forum this is posted in, I feel like it is fishing for me to list Diablo 3.
While Diablo 3 certainly disappointed me, I can't count it as a huge disappointment because I knew it was going to suck by the time it was coming to release. The more news I saw, the more I lost my interest, despite my initial hype.
My biggest disappointments in gaming in recent years(I am not going all the way back, because I've been gaming too long to remember them all) would have to be...
1 - Crysis 2. I loved Crysis 1 and I had an absolute blast in the multiplayer with friends of mine for a long time. Crysis 2 originally looked so great, right up until just before release when I played it's beta and realized just how awful it was. Multiplayer and singleplayer let me down in just about every way.
2 - Mass Effect 3. I think this dead horse has been beaten in every other gaming forum already.
3- Skyrim. I was hesitant to throw this up here but why not. I still had a lot of fun with it, put about 200 hours into it. Nonetheless, it was a step back in almost every area but graphics. It really could have done a lot more and it let me down.

1. Spore. This wasn't the game I thought it would be. Too casual, boring gameplay, not enough depth and too childish. I thought it will have a more complex development of your organism that will have more scientific stuff to it rather that just growing a pair of legs, arms and brain...

2. The Sims 3. Yes, it was disappointing, because of how little features it had. The Sims 2 with expansions had more to offer than the original Sims 3.

3. Red Alert 3. Not a bad game, but too far away from the previous games. There is nothing besides music and maybe factions that could remind the previous Red Alerts.

There maybe are more disappointments, but that's what I can recall for now :O
man that's pretty tough lets see....

1. Fable - now that i think back there's no way it could have ever lived up to its hype, but it could have at least been more than an 8 hour game.

2. TF2 - I like it okay now, but i absolutely hated it at first. I hated how different it was from TFC. I hated that they removed my precious concussion grenades. I mainly played a medic and scout in clan matches, and i was pro at conc jumping. It broke my heart when I realized i wouldn't be able to do it in TF2.

3. Risen - This is probably one of the most boring games i have ever played.

1. Fallout 3

2. Diablo 3

3. The Settlers 5

1. Diablo 3: too much wait, not enough fun.

2. Mass Effect 3: way to go, BioWare. Completely ruined ME franchise with those "B---" plots. Also, fighting mechanics are so dumbed down (cover is probably the worst I even tried on a videogame).

3. Anything that Bethesda has created/published on the last years (Fallout and RAGE being the top letdowns).

Special mention to the upcoming GRID 2. No cockpit view? RLY Codies?

i never really get hyped over games, except for ME2 and ME3(and this game obviously), so there really in't any expectations to be met.

bet ME3 was an ok game, which i enjoyed the hell out of, but the end of it killed me! the most crucial part of the series is ruined! it's not sayin' that i by default hate the series... i still love it, but the end is where bioware tripped, and now i kinda hate it(EA even more!!!)

Rage.
I let the advertising hype build up my expectations well beyond what the game really was... It wasn't really bad, but it's the only game that comes to mind as a disappointment to me.
I preorder far fewer games now...
Diablo III

Mortal Kombat III

Metal Gear Solid II (though I learned to love the game, it`s not bad by any means but it`s convoluted plot and the absence of Snake annoyed me to no end when the game first came out)

Also can`t put those in order, since they all were a major bummer to me.
I'm a casual player, at best; and I played a lot of crappy games, along side the good ones, but none disappointed me as much as......Mass Effect 3's ending.

Yes, that ending completely ruined the whole franchise, for me. After I finished the game I completely lost the desire to replay it. I've finished ME 1 3 times, and ME 2 4 or 5 times; there's no way in hell I'll ever play ME 3 for a second time, even if it has a, presumably, improved ending (which I haven't even watched, nor am I interested in seeing).

And to think that Bioware games were once good, well not anymore.
