You guys are constantly making this into an ego measuring contest.

It's not that the game is too difficult, it's that the loot is uninspiring, and many of hte mechanics aren't fun. Stun isn't fun, being surrounded by zooming enemies every fight isn't fun.

Stop making this discussion on design about your leet skills.

Playing hardcore doesn't the make the game harder. You do realize this right? It just makes it more punishing as if you die you char gets deleted.

As for the just remove all your gear and fight the boss with your fists. I cannot think of a more dented response then this. So you want me to not engage with the best part of any arpg like using cool gear, making your character extremely powerful just so you can watch a youtube video on your second monitor while playing a idle game? Holy flippin entitlement

There's already arpgs out there for you. There needs to be an evolution of the genre.

It literally does. Imagine a boss attack. It normally hits for 1 damage, but then there's a hard mode where it one shots you. You would say that hard mode makes the boss more difficult.

Now, say, Silverfist has 10% chance of killing you. On SC it's 10% chance that you'll have to try take him on again in 3 minutes. On HC that's 10% chance of you having to restart the campaign. Punishment DOES add difficulty.

If you're on softcore it's alright but don't ask to make the game more difficult since you literally have the option to opt in for a hard mode.

Of course an easy moder would say that.
Make them hit harder but not with inflated HP. Defence during campaign is almost unnecessary
