ITs INSANE THAT NO ONE IS UPSET THAT GGG IS ALLOWING THE ABOVE, and is punishing players for doing stuff that is FAR LESS WARRANTED of a ban!


We literally got ppl duping items and currency, botting 24-7 to sell online, and yall over here taking it out on players that found an exploitable issue with a legit function in the game that is a mistake....

Sure guy, you know all that "silly stuff" like deliberately duplicating enough currency to effectively ruin the in-game economy for the entirety of the League and dramatically curtailing the enjoyment of hundreds of thousands of players.

Totes just silly people doin' silly stuff.

Ok - This is very simple.

Unique tablet - Allows infinite rerolls - intended mechanic
Normal tablet - X% reduced cost of rerolls - intended mechanic
Normal tablet - X% reduced cost of referrals - intended mechanic

Using these together AS INTENDED = deliberate player designed exploit.

Nope, I would normally agree with banning exploiters but in this nuanced occasion no. This is 100% on the devs. I don't see those who exploited the tornado bug all the way to T15 maps being banned, this knackers the economy also. Why is that okay? Need some clarification here? What exploits are okay to exploit till they are patched and which are not?

Don't give me "the economy" because last season they flooded the market with pinnacle body armor and were doing it for a month. Besides scammers, bots and RMTs have sponsored advertisements on google mate, don't hear a big fuss about "the economy" or "the vision" when talking about the very definition of exploitation. Please some clarification? What is okay what is not?

DUDE, there are 3rd parties just going ham running bots and duping items nonstop....

THAT IS A MUCH LARGER PROBLEM, and ALL OF THESE NEED FIXED....

GGG knew there were some TEMPORALIS DUPES and YES, they banned some, but then the ppl got smart and started just duping currency and continued botting!

GGG should be playing, testing, and figuring this stuff out, not knee jerk banning ppl who found a loophole that needs fixed. Even if this bug is fixed, i promise you exalt/div prices will plummet every season until they stop the bots/dupes.....

I don't understand the ins and outs specifically for this round but from what i've read this comes down to GGG making an example of some players to reduce the chances of it happening in the future rather than a just response.

Like is it shady? Yes, but so was using widowhail with concoctions in 0.1 but that was OK even though it had a similar level of clearly not intended (albeit the latter wasn't a currency printer just easy access to content)

Its messy, but GGG should have tested this better is my #1 takeaway and i'm concerned that every release is going to be an exploit rush of some kind.

GGG's stance has always been don't exploit and bans may be handed out, this isn't a new thing for them

The point is though that while unintended, it was blatantly obvious that it wasn't intended to be that way and people still exploited it hard before it was fixed, it's a well deserved ban.

Clearly exploited. Why are we even arguing if the bans are necessary or not?

Oh, because in a gigantic huge patch that the game company did. They missed a few numbers in the code?

They are indeed 100% responsible for making the exploit possible. The players who chose to abuse it when it was absolutely obviously unintended are 100% responsible for their actions and the consequences.

Calling this "nuanced" is f'ing bonkers my guy. They were generating infinite zero cost currency its just about the least nuanced exploit I can imagine.

Well I guess the first thing I would say is that if you don't abuse exploits then you never have to worry about which ones might be deemed severe enough to lead to bans.

Well, I don't know if it counts as clarification because you absolutely knew this already before you asked just like the people who did this knew it, but if you figure out a way to generate infinite free currency then that's not okay and I would not do that because you'll probably get banned.

OP and others aren't condoning it. He is just offering his .02 and feelings on the subject which he is entitled to do.
