How would the Poe2 elites feel about level 100 in campaign?

every topic on the entire forum somehow always ends up with just people attacking each other and nothing else .

Devs just close the forums , make a monthly poll about changes in game ,
and thats it , you are already just doing whatever you feel like to the game anyway.

come on and act like adults... try to keep the topic on game mechanics and improvements.

It's really hard when the devs give tone deaf responses like they did in the interview saying they don't have enough info.

this also gives people a false sense of "maybe if I say something things can change."

it's a bad feedback loop because they don't even value it.

How is it tone deaf to say that they do not yet have enough info?

I would think it's good for developers to go over metrics before jumping to conclusions?

If you don't see how many things in that interview were tone deaf there's probably no meeting in the middle to have a discussion.

xp loss isn't a topic that's new for the devs of poe... hahah see what I mean by we can't have a discussion if you're unable to meet in the middle?

these same boring topics are the same problems just less portals. it boils down to the punishment vs reward of playing. For them to say they don't have enough information is dishonest.

Because they said that death should be used as an indicator for the player that they are in fact not ready for that content?

Why do you disagree with that?
I've died 60 times and currently am level 90 and not one death was I thinking about my experience or the loot I lost. I cared more about what killed me so I could figure out how to defend it the next time I run a similar map.

i have premium tabs but i have no idea how trading works. the game doesnt teach you

This is a problem.....and means that we aren't really going to have a meaningful conversation here.

You bought premium tabs: literally tabs that only exist to facilitate trade (unless you bought them for the colors?). And then complain that the game doesn't teach you how to trade nor have you learned how to trade....

there is a SIGNIFICANT disconnect here between the "player" and the "game", and one that really amounts to experience, care, and knowledge.

Regarding the OP:

You can get to level 100 however you want, in whatever way is most "fun" for you personally.

I don't see an extended campaign to "replace" mapping being popular at all. If there is one topic that rivals all the exp penalty whiner threads....its those that whine about not being able to skip the campaign.

Let's talk about the genre as a whole: the "story" isn't ever going to be the whole game. This isn't a straight up RPG where you have a "beginning" and "end" baked into the game, complete with credits screen etc. It is an arpg, with a short-ish story that serves a much smaller purpose.

The rest of the time you spend in games like this grinding and building and experimenting, are done in systems outside of the story line pretty much 99% of the time. This is by design because it allows the PLAYER to curate their own experience much more than a "forced" campaign direction does.

The endgame is currently not where it needs to be, and not where it will ultimately end up. Endgame in PoE 1 is STILL CHANGING. Let alone brand new PoE 2.

Devs love the campaign: they put a ton of effort and hours and programming into it. But they also recognize that 1) they cannot keep changing the story every 3 months and 2) people will NOT remain interested in the "story" on the 100th playthrough. Thus, the focus of future programming becomes almost entirely based in the endgame.

i was an EA Supporter and plan to play upon release. since i got a bunch of currency I waited for stash tabs to go on sale and I got them at the sale price so I would have them when the game releases. you are that special kind of person, for sure lmao keep criticizing me instead of providing feedback about the game. i eat up these stupid comments like pac man eats pellets

Not ready for the random one shot mechanic that got you that time that you can’t even get a recap on to know how to avoid next time. Yeah very useful. The devs are dishonest and the punishment is ridiculous since you can’t even replay the same exact content and learn it due to more unpopular decisions they decided to shoehorn into this game.
