I think we all must have watched different interviews. I seen a lot of questions answered. I see a lot of promising things I want to test now, and don't want to wait til later this week. It makes me wonder what people were expecting considering half of the players, still don't understand what EA is. Maybe they were expecting tons of content, new classes, removal of mechanics, or just simply a easier game.

I want Rarity and the droprate balance around Rarity gone.
I also want a more deterministic crafting system, which they opposed in the interview.
I want higher tier items to have a better chance for higher tier affixes.

Give them a break man.. People expect too much from devs, they're normal people too. It's hard working at a game studio, they put their face out there and they didn't really push anything under the rug, they said it as it was, they need to test it themselves, the game is a little over 1 month old..


The game is 5+ years old, they should know how their systems work. You act like the first time they ever played or programmed the game was when EA released.

Its not that hard to get some rarity on your gear, you can get 26% rarity just on your atlas. And after that even if you have no rarity on your gear (which isnt incredibly hard to get) you get a ton on rolling waystones and precursor tablets.



Tests were concluded indicating that innate MF as depicted on your Skill ( +X% Rarity on Killing Blow ) and Rarity from Atlas-Tablets-Waystones are not additive with each others but multiplicative .

So if you run with low rarity on Gear while running high rarity from Atlas-Tablets-Waystones you are missing out big time .

They didn't defend rarity tbh, they only know that rarity increases the rarity of currencies as well, however they are thinking rarity is not a problem and it's an optional modifier while it's actually mandatory. They are insanely disconnected from some important parts of the game but i think that's normal since they were on vacation. They got confused when they received 4-5 question regarding to rarity and finally they realized that it's actually a big problem for the community. They said they will look into it more and make adjustments, and they agreed that removing rarity in poe1 just to add poe2 confusion is well justified. They promised they will look into it but they had no idea before.

We will see adjustments for sure regarding to MF, i believe it will no longer effect currencies.

we get it but in the interview they tripled down on the rarity thing.

crafting on the other hand will be improved with the new crafting mechanics in the future making it more "deterministic", understand better odds of hitting.
I'll be honest I wouldn't give them a pass for not knowing key mechanics, not between the two of them. I know about the bleed one for example simply because I read the tooltip and therefore avoided bleed builds it isn't high level knowledge its trivial background stuff about your game.

The damage effectiveness of Sunder at level 27 is the kind of information you get a pass for not knowing as a lead developer, what bleed does isn't.

Also 99% sure bleed will get changed, it only works as it does right now because they are trying to make it different from ignite and poison but it simply doesn't work and it'll get changed to something else.

It's uncertain when the change was made to rarity, however, since in Path of Exile 1 it doesn't affect currency item tiers at all.

If it was made recently, they might not have been fully aware of the changes or their full impact even if the change was mentioned to them at some point.

And while they're at it, they can also add Light Radius and Accuracy to the list of things to be removed from the affix pool.
