The interview had major "Do you not have phones?" energy

Where is any evidence that drop rate are balanced around MF? People say it like it's gospel, but is it? Is it not possible 0% rarity is what they balance around (including trade ofc since it's a central pillar), and extra rarity is a bonus?

Trying getting Regals / Exalts with 0 rarity and upgrading your gear during campaign and tell me that is the intended balance.

I've had 0 rarity on my gear since day 1 and it's not prevented me from upgrading during the campaign or making it to the point I have ~100Div invested in my character.

Which League, how many deaths, and how much trading was involved?

First post since a long time (just starting and having fun...); as he said... and stay cool, this is just EA of a really promising game... chill...
Thanks for your post ^^ !!
Happy new year everyone! :

I write software.

That was a great effort to talk to the community.

There is no way they can carry the knowledge off all the systems in their heads.
So how exactly rarity effects currency, yeah perhaps they have a general idea of how tiers may influence drops .. but they are not wiki pages.

When they didnt know they said we don't know
When they didn't agree they said no.
That was two very competent people replying the best they could.
You can tell they could have said more in some places but don't want to commit to something that may change , or tilt their hand about what are prrobably still internal conversations about direction .. such as crafting, you can tell by their answers that they debate these things internally.

Most posts here are people upset because their issue isn't an issue
for GGG or low on the priority list. Anything to do with the market or money...
who cares right now, core game mechanics , crashes, bug fixes are the priority.

Be mad sure, but don't criticize the communication effort , it was great and transparent.

They can't implement some things without a season or market reset and are too kind to say.... because if we do this , the community will cry like children.
So we need to wait until we are resetting the whole thing so people dont lose their minds about their duped item and broken class interaction was taken away .
... nothing

Cute emotes don't make the condescension / shutting down conversation any less obnoxious and noncontributing.

Private profile and contrarian + contentious comments suggest troll to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Especially with no Ogham Support Pack to even play PoE 2

And here just more of the same, instead of providing any actual facts or disputing anything just changing the subject and trying to attack the individual. Also I have both the ogham and king of the faridun supporter packs (not sure why this is relevant to anything but there you go)

Oh you only have the Ogham supporter pack, well I myself have the King of Faridun one so I guess my opinion matters more then yours.

There are no leagues yet what are you taking about? Lol I'm taking about EA. Lots of deaths for sure, campaign is brutal but it's SC. ~200 or so. I sold my high end drops and bought high end gear, handfuls of 1Ex-20Ex pieces sold sometimes. I didn't do any crafting/flipping/etc for profit like I normally do in 1 leagues.

All this is just a sidestep of my question. Where is the evidence that the game is directly intentionally balanced around players having MF? I've never seen anything at all. No dev comments etc. Closest thing is nerfing of the highest ends of MF when T17s came out in 1. It always just sounds like FOMO getting the better of people. 500% MF simply doesn't make up for having a good farming strategy. Having both is a way to min-max for sure, but nothing is gatekept or unobtainable in the game with 0% rarity.

Dont fall into his trap xD
He doesnt actually care about any of that, he just wants to change the subject after you proved him false.

While I'll say I was very disappointed and frustrated with the interview - lots of good stuff for endgame but nothing for the myriad issues with warrior etc. beyond them acknowledging that warrior is hot garbage - they've literally had like a week and a half to go over data and feedback. They just got back from their break.

SC Trade / HC Trade / SC SSF / HC SSF are the different Leagues.

Your point was that "keeping your gear up to date with 0 rarity is not a problem because you did it".
You have 200 deaths, so that suggests otherwise.
You also traded to keep it up to date, so your initial point is moot.
Which is why the question was relevant, and my point stands:

Rarity is mandatory to get the necessary Regal / Exalt Orbs to upgrade your gear.
And you will need a bunch of them, because we have gacha crafting, as opposed to actual crafting.

Just because you can circumvent the issue in trade league and can smash your head against the wall 200 times until you progress in SC, doesn't mean the issue doesn't exist.

Yeah I would agree on the point about warriors (or weak classes in general).
One of my characters is a blood mage and its too terrible to even explain.

I understand them wanting to wait with big nerfs but I would also like to see more focus on buffing things that are underperforming, especially when its by this much.
