The interview had major "Do you not have phones?" energy
" 1. communication Essentially, every single answer was either "no", or "no idea". You can think this is positive, I don't. We see it differently. To me it felt like DM and Ghazzy were talking to a brick wall. 2. core issues Droprates being heavily nerfed, because they are balanced for Rarity, and Regal / Exalt orbs being 1 pull at the slot machine, because crafting = slot machine are two problems that amplify each other into an enormous problem. Even as a HCSSF player, I prioritise Rarity over Resistances, because otherwise I couldn't even farm gear upgrades. The way they dismissed this issue entirely did not sit right with me, especially when they weren't even aware of how Rarity works in the first place. There are some points in interview that worries me a lot. The justification to reverse item affix was so bad "if a player want to progress through tier 1 to tier 15 maps, so t10 resistance should be better than tier 2 resistances." Pls, just dont. This is change is so bad, everyone now need to play with poedb open to check affixes tiers.
Another delicate point was when Jonathan and Mark was discussing about 1 Portal or 6 portal, and i think they missed a lot of points in this discussion like Solo Play vs Group Play. If 1 portal remains, there is no point to solo play. If every map has only 1 portal, that means group play is the way to go. Group play was always better than solo play in PoE1, and with 1 portal it is even more stronger to group play. One of the advantages to solo play in PoE1 was the numbers of portal, while in group if someone dies the map is almost bricked. I like the suggestion that Mr Llama gave to MF and Portals: - Remove Rarity to currency (just maintain rarity to items) - Bring back 6 portals - Give bonus rarity to currency for unused Portal This would be the best solution to MF, Portal and balance between Solo vs Group Play Unfortunately, i think the devs are lost about some design issues with PoE2. Where is any evidence that drop rate are balanced around MF? People say it like it's gospel, but is it? Is it not possible 0% rarity is what they balance around (including trade ofc since it's a central pillar), and extra rarity is a bonus?

" What do you mean? I also want ggg give out temporalis/Adorned... and everything with login rewards. So it would only cost me 10 mins per day in this game and don't care about MF or crafting. But I don't worry about it anyway, because others don't have the login rewards neither. And as time goes, there will be login rewards some day. Anyway, I wish you get what you want, even though I think you should ask for more. |
