It's 2025, and XP Penalties on Death Still Exist?

Try again dwqrf. I'll be patient with you.

Read my whole message again. Then look at how you're responding in this one. Do it a few times. Then come back and we can talk again.

Really look at what I said. About how Feelings are valid feedback. And how you aren't considering what others are saying they feel.

Nope, I don't think I will.

It's not because you don't understand what I say that I don't understand what you say. Stop projecting.

Hmm.

Is there a reason why you think I'm projecting? What makes you say that?

It's fine if you don't want to talk. I'm not here to try to convince you of anything, or change your mind.

I just wanted to speak my part, and be heard. You know. About the whole XP loss on death mechanic, and why it bothers me.

The endgame is it's whole own campaign, like in PoE1. The endgame is when your build is largely active, having most of it's stuff to function as desired.

The endgame is half if not more of the freaking games.

Yes, but the ENDGAME is using all the art, music, enemies and maps from the GAME. It just using existing data as proceduraly generated content to try things out and farm some more. Their is a couple of goals, but it's moslty rehashed assets. PoE2 isn't just a bunch of numbers, it's also a mountain of work for the style, animations, visual design and effects, and so much more. Don't dismiss the hard work.

Things is, every single PoE2 player will go through the campaign, the GAME. Not everyone will explore the atlas, the ENDGAME, and only few will ever finish it. It's not mandatory content.

The endgame is filled with unique mechanics and bosses that's at best rarely encountered in the base game.

The endgame is it's own unique experience.

But this is retaining players guys

Actually it's more like this without xp penalty
-Player enters map with 0 defenses and only offense
-Player dies halfway through
-Player respawns
-Player enters portal
-Player continues killing
-Nothing matters and everything feels vapid
-Player gets bored and quits

And as usual, you're incapable of not being disingenuous.

Stop making how "pro" you are at a game your identity.

Seems like a waste to have so much content, unavailable to most players.

For me, I would like to do the content, but I also don't want to have to spend an eternity doing it. The game currently requires quite a significant time-sink unfortunately.

Man, if I walked into a map with Zero defense. I'd be dying constantly. That would eat up so much time.

Not only that, but you'd quickly get sick of it. 20 minutes of death running something gets old quick. I've tried it many times in the past with various games. Never an enjoyable experience.

Have you ever tried it?

The people complaining about XP penalties and on death effects is a small majority very small..

They can keep crying about it. As I have said in previous posts these people having been begging GGG to change this but it's only such a small majority that they don't ever consider it.

The reason you see the posts often is because it's the same exact people who keep posting it.

Yup, as mentioned earlier according to steam only 3.1% have beaten Sirus.

Though only 50% have entered the first town, so adjusting the percentages that would be 6.2% of those who entered the first town have beaten Sirus.

Compared to Elden ring where 50% of those who reached the main hub have beaten Malenia.
