The Amount of Time "Vacationing" is Actually Absurd

I kind of think they fumbled the whole thing. You’re right that it’s easy to say looking back on it. They clearly underestimated the work needed to launch PoE2.

But they didn't launch PoE 2 yet. We're playing a Beta version. We're the guinea pigs who find the most broken things in the game so they can fix them before the actual launch. Half a million players will find broken things faster than a small group of QA testers.
I don’t think the game is even in a bad state.

There are absolutely things that need to be cleaned up.

-Armor
-Endgame systems
-One Shots
-Pinnacle/Citadel frequency
-Crafting

There are others, of course. But the bones are all good. And I am really glad they released when they did and didn’t wait. I’m glad I’ve had the game to play.

I think a lot of the current issues are remedied with more weapons, classes, ascendancies, reworked passive nodes, support gems.

But again, there are things to clean up. Warrior feels bad at the moment. I don’t think it IS bad. It’s clearly not a ranger or sorc or other meta type build… but it’s okay. It just feels bad.

Acolyte I think is cleaned up real quick with weapons (claws/daggers in particular).

I feel like there are a lot of valid criticisms of the game but a lot of that gets lost a little within the insulting type posts that attack rather than attempt to help.

Feedback is important. This game needs some cleaning up.

And I’m willing to bet a lot will be and probably quickly.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they announced huntress on Monday, even, along with patch notes.

But this right here, this crucial point to your argument, doesn't make any sense. How did they fumble it? The EA saw the biggest influx of players ever, by 3x. It sees the greatest retention ever, even retaining more concurrent players than the single biggest DAY in PoE history. The game has been lauded as playing smoother than almost ever. When they thought the game wasn't ready in November, they DIDN'T launch it because that would have been a fumble,

Just because there are balance issues and problems with endgame means the whole thing was fumbled? When everything data-wise points to the exact opposite? When the sheer fact is that its EA and it will NEVER be 100% problem-free for the entirety of the EA and probably well into the full release too.

Comparatively, D3 and D4 launches (much much more money and preparation and work) were TRUE fumbles: multiple game breaking issues that caused the game to "go dark" for extended periods. TRUE mass exodus of players (near 90%). Despite "regular" attention from the devs. THAT is an example of a fumbled game launch. Hell, those weren't even early access releases....they were FULL releases. From a AAA company.

GGG fumbled nothing. The ONLY real serious problems that have been brought up is duping and account hacking. And these have only seriously existed for a little less than a week now, and have already gotten preliminary attention from GGG.

You have absolutely no idea what you are writing, just go away dude. You are parroting a nonsense-saying like it means something, when it truly doesn't.

Tencent has its tentacles in nearly 50% of the WORLD's companies. It owns a majority share in many of them. That means absolutely nothing 99.99% of the time.

Tencent also owns stake in: blizzard, epic games, riot games, roblox, among other powerhouse gaming companies. Their business model is owning businesses, not being the business themselves.

Plus....your response is related to like, half a sentence from the post you quoted. And not even correctly related because....as I mentioned...tencent ALSO owns stake in Blizzard. It also doesn't make GGG a AAA game developer.

I've worked for a Tencent owned company before. Tencent doesn't really buy companies that don't have a business model that can be run hands-free. That is to say, Tencent itself is very hands-free. As long as they have the source code to modify it for their servers, they don't really touch on the Western side of the business.

I've seen people from the Finances/Business department attempt to contact Tencent for feedback and fail. I've seen people blame Tencent for cosmetic MTX decisions that I've made myself. Tencent doesn't really touch the game development side.

how doesn't it make them a AAA developer if they're parented by such a large company? the loop holes are uncanny mate.

the only thing you showed is you want a doa game. A echo chamber if you will. You hate people talking about a game that you're invested in because that means they're attacking the thing you like.

how fragile.

if you think GGG is some small company you're delusional lmao. it's a AAA game
