350k you mean.
But actually yes, it goes okay, similar to POE1 start in 2012.

i'll play when the game is good, and right now it isn't and it's shameful GGG isn't in office speaking to the audience and fixing their PRODUCT.
Right on!
But, the same people that defend the situation also say "they couldn't delay it more, people would get mad if it was released in January after the holidays"... is such hipocrisy that is hard to take them seriously.

exactly. these people replying are literal yes men who just approve whatever is happening with zero understanding of the situation. their only motive is to defend GGG. they've never worked for or managed a large company. they have no idea that removing yourself from your customer base during the literal most important time in your company's life is blasphemous in business. they have absolutely no idea what they're arguing against. they just defend the company's vacation because they feel virtuous for doing so.
take your vacation time in a month. take it a month ago. delay your release while we play poe1. do anything except release your game that's crap, then leave. it's a massive slap in the face. and no, i don't care if i play tomorrow or in six months. i'll play when the game is good, and right now it isn't and it's shameful GGG isn't in office speaking to the audience and fixing their PRODUCT.
No we are not "yes men" most of us are hard-working people with families who understanding the value of spending time with family and loved ones during the holidays. The ones complaining that they "left us" during the holidays and are outraged by it need to do one simple thing and one simple thing alone.
Go outside and touch grass.
The game numbers speak for themselves. 500k active RIGHT NOW just on steam alone so your entire comment is just outlandish and not founded in reality.
365,000 on steam right now. literally right now. about 75% of what you say and what was peak. already a 25% decline. you go touch grass. you are yes men if you perceive this game to be acceptable. this is one of the worst arpg's i've ever played. last epoch was 10x as good. this is completely unacceptable from the developer of PoE1. you either be a sheep and stay quiet or you speak now and let them know. you don't know the dynamics of the relationship between GGG and it's playerbase. look at your supporter packs, or lack thereof. the "lOuD mAjOrItY" have been right more than they haven't in the history of PoE. the developers are stubborn and arrogant and don't bend unless forced to.
go away, you genuinely don't know what's going on here.
Ask yourself: If this were Blizzard, how would you feel?

you defending them and white knighting till the bitter end is more amusing. they took money under false pretence. you defend all their choices. you are a yes man. you defend the corporation, a non physical entity. lol. im insulted by the choices the actual people made. ggg as a whole should have whatever vacation the company deems. but... tey should also have at leastr one person just saying something. we are working on things would suffice but no. its too taxing to type on the forums when they are already on vacay... i guess they dont have phones either lol.
*Looks around* Has the game fullly realesed ?`nope still says early acess...
So while its in early acess why are some in this thread so upset that they have not gotten any updates in 11 days ?
This is not full game release
They told us in upcoming changes post on pathofexile.com
"As we wind down for the holiday season we wanted to thank you all for our most successful launch so far, we could not have done it without all of your support. A lot of our team will begin to take some much needed rest over the next few weeks but we look forward to getting back in the new year refreshed and ready for an exciting year of development in 2025. Happy Holidays, Exiles!"
I hope they reset the market by making Ea season 1 (Can still play you char in ea standard) or something when they nerf the rarity and makes fixes to class balances
Doesn’t really matter that it’s not a full release, all the flavour of the month gamers will have already come and gone away for good by the time GGG changes anything.

OMG everyone quick....there is a 25% decline on a early access game during the holidays this game is dead and its over. Tell GGG to pack it up and shut her down.
Im not a "yes man" im a guy who works his ass off for a living and can respect and understand that a company that probably pulled 60-80 hr weeks for weeks to get this game ready for EARLY ACCESS deserves to spend time with their family during the holidays. You do know some of us have a thing called a "real life" where we have friends, family, and things to do in the real world?
If this is one of the worst ARPG's you've ever played than you may just want to uninstall and go reevaluate your life mate and I would strongly suggest you trim the neck beard and get off of reddit cause you are so delusional that im concerned.
I am part of GGG's playerbase genius. I played POE 1 for a long time and now that POE 2 is out I won't be returning.
You do know it's ok not to like POE 2 and go play POE 1 right?

Look, I will say that this game definitely has a lot of work that needs to be done. It needs a lot of improvement in a lot of areas to become what it can be, the best ARPG out on the market. There are definitely things in this game right now that are baffling decisions, things we thought they had learned aren't good design or fun with their feedback from POE1, and those things absolutely ought to be addressed as soon as possible.
That being said, people deserve a break. They worked a lot of hours leading up to the EA release, and that work they did still deserves acknowledgement along with understanding that it was grueling and exhausting. I want the devs to take a break and relax, so they can come back to the office with fresh eyes and perspective. That can only benefit us, as it will be more likely that many of the changes that need to be made, will be made quickly and effectively.
The animosity toward the devs for the state of the game is not warranted. I get it, many of us are frustrated that we have waited this long for a game that isn't measuring up to our individual expectations of it. But shaming the devs for daring to take a break during the holidays isn't the move. GGG is a company, but the devs are human, and humans need rest.

i respect most of your sentiment. i really do. but there's an understanding that comes with releasing a worldwide marketed and hyped product coveniently around "the holidays" and then leaving, while that product is extremely flawed at best.
if they knew the game was this flawed, they could have finished their poe1 league and let us play that while they delayed to mid january. instead, we get a rushed and pretty jank release AND a stagnation of poe1.
the alternative is they knew the state of the game, think that it is good, and took vacation anyway. i debate that this game is left in a viable state and whether that is ethical, given the response to the game.

Whether that is ethical?! Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are.
I haven't read more deluded posts than yours in a good long while: you seem to think you are "criticizing the state of the game"....when you aren't. You are criticizing PEOPLE. You are acting like an entitled brat that is owed something from the PEOPLE that worked their asses off and get to take a break.
You are like a parent that calls their child's teacher hundreds of times on the WEEKEND.....over an issue that doesn't even exist.
It is astounding you can't see the difference between "I don't like xyz, here'es how i wish GGG would fix xyz" vs. "How DARE they have personal lives of their own, they owe me more!"

What it all boils down to is that they released a game before the holidays to maximize profit then disappeared.
