The Amount of Time "Vacationing" is Actually Absurd

da heck ? they have been working so hard to deliver us a game to play, don't be so negative, be grateful we have what we have, and the effort they put in for us
"
"

the alternative is they knew the state of the game, think that it is good, and took vacation anyway. i debate that this game is left in a viable state and whether that is ethical, given the response to the game.

Whether that is ethical?! Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are.

I haven't read more deluded posts than yours in a good long while: you seem to think you are "criticizing the state of the game"....when you aren't. You are criticizing PEOPLE. You are acting like an entitled brat that is owed something from the PEOPLE that worked their asses off and get to take a break.

You are like a parent that calls their child's teacher hundreds of times on the WEEKEND.....over an issue that doesn't even exist.

you are also *criticizing* PEOPLE

*gasp*

how dare you or i do such a thing

They made more than 20 million on the launch.

Contrary to what some "family time matters stop playing over Xmas, but I still have time to slag players off on the forums" try telling us, Xmas is actually prime time for gaming.
Steam always has a lot more players of the holiday.

Seems incredible, I know!
People play more when they have time off work! Insane! Mind blown.

So yeah. Launching a game with a big pile of game breaking mechanics 2 weeks before the high season for gaming, then collectively taking off with the big payout seems rather disingenuous.

They should have known the game needed another 6 months in development, but they needed the payday this calendar year.
When they did so, the least they could have done is had a few people around to do the basic patching and updating.

And when failing to do that, at the very least provide people with a tiny piece of feedback for the plans going forward.

Asking for this is not some huge overstep on humanitarian rights.
They released a bad product, made a load of money, and f off.
"I'm on holiday" wouldn't fly for an excuse in any serious company dealing with half a million people.

While i dont agree with a lot of things here. It is odd that its framed this way.
Most companies take 24th-25th off and are back to work the 26th.

I don't know if I've ever worked for a company that allowed you to take vacation 2 weeks within a major holiday either. Maybe we're just slave drivers in America.

That being said a few weeks off for them, while it may suck for us, is not the end of the world.

Depends on the company and the region. Of my 11 people team, I was the only working during the holidays, and that will continue until January 2nd. Everyone else, including my bosses is on vacation. That's entirely normal here. From Christmas to early January you only find a skeleton crew or the emergency services, most people take time off, enjoy the holidays. 24 - 26 are official holidays here, so no one works anyway, and many people took vacation days for Monday and Friday and next Monday too. I am close to 50, and never knew it otherwise for all my working life.

Do you even have the slightest clue what you are asking for?! Read the thread. Read your own comments.

You don't want "basic patching and updating"....you think the entire game is on fire, the sky is falling, everyone and their mother is leaving and hates it, and GGG is going bankrupt. Basic patching and updating won't fix any of that. In fact, I bet they DO have people around to do those things but guess what? IT'S NOT NEEDED because the game is absolutely in a stable spot when it comes to performance.

You people are so detached from reality its actually sad that this is the state of humanity's ability to think.

Nailed it. This isn't a small indie company anymore either.

bet your company didn't pull in $20 million in the last month though

The entitlement continues.....why the hell should that matter? Did YOU personally give them 20 million dollars? No....you gave them $30, and you got exactly what you paid for and more. They put out, what was it, 10 patches within the first 2 weeks of the release?

If anything, the fact that they made $20million gives them even MORE of a right to take an extended vacation. It LITERALLY translates to the product being a success lol. You defeated your own purpose.

listen to yourself, questioning humanity as a whole over a game. you need to look in a mirror and see who really has their priorities out of order. we care about the game, we aren't sacrificing our outlook on life over GGG's decisions. you need to clean yourself up.
