Since you are obviously from some Blizzard game, you don't have the context necessary to understand why this game is genuinely bad right now. You've only played absolute trash all your life, how could you know what an actually great game is like.
Pretty much summed up. Nothing to add.

I already adressed that : they did a 180° at some point ( welcome to project development ) , what a shocker . But keep riding all night long the train GGG stole my cookies how dare they , that fanfare is repetitive and i have sleep to do .
You have no arguments and no valid defenses for this games failures. It won't have even 5% of PoE's seasonal playerbase long term if it doesn't change its terrible game mechanics into the working, popular ones from PoE.

Not sure why so many people who are going to play this game once through and then never touch it again feel such a compulsion to attack long-time PoE players who want to see PoE2 succeed long-term with nigh-unlimited replayability. Barring the prospect that they're of the "I paid money for it so I can see no faults in it" variety of consumer, that is. The sort who must always defend an inferior product lest they be forced to contemplate the possibility of having invested time and money into something that is less than perfect.
The frustrating part is that GGG is likely to listen to these people, when these people won't even be here in three months. At the expense of its dedicated and loyal player base, who will remain neither should GGG continue down this path unabated.

Well, there's basically two reasons we're seeing all these leeches come at us in full force:
1) They don't actually want the replayability of PoE1, because then they'll feel compelled to come back, and they're suffering from FOMO already just thinking about the fact that they played this shit EA instead of what could possibly have been a decent game. There's a reason many of them are attacking the concept of leagues itself - they want the game to be a one and done experience because that's what they play all the time. These aren't Diablo refugees, the majority of the dedicated Diablo playerbase already knew about PoE; They are just your typical bandwagon gamer fare that goes from one game to the next (Elden Ring, BG3 etc) and they want PoE2 to fit that mold so they won't have to return.
2) Most of them are stuck in the campaign, or at best, doing early maps while screaming "I AM ENDGAMING HNNNNNGGGG" in their heads. Meaning they have absolutely 0 context of what we are talking about when we are trying to lay out this game's issues in feedback threads. This is compounded by the fact that they have 0 experience of PoE1 so they have not experienced the solutions to these problems that the rest of us are already familiar with.
Honestly, I'm not even that disappointed with PoE2; I'm still having fun even though the game has glaring issues. I would much rather be playing a PoE1 league, and I've said so in other threads. However, seeing these people on the forums makes me actively want to shit on the game much more than it deserves. They are that annoying. Hopefully GGG will implode by taking their feedback seriously (although their track record has them heavily favouring supporters).
Love the games. PoE1 way more so than PoE2, but still enjoying both.
Hate the company. The scummy, lying, fake and shitty facade, the excuses, the failures, and most of all, the "Vision".
Keep both of those in mind when reading my posts. Last edited by PrimordialDarkness#3913 on Dec 25, 2024, 8:49:21 PM

If PoE2 had been the first ARPG I ever played, I would have been amazed. However, having played nearly every ARPG (or hack-and-slash, as we used to call them) since Diablo 1, I’m not so easily impressed.
PoE2 is a huge step backward in terms of QoL improvements. If someone endured visiting Adria's hut in Tristram, trudging across that cursed bridge at a snail’s pace thousands of times, they certainly won’t find repeating the same tedious mechanics nearly 30 years later in PoE2 amusing. GGG’s message seems to be: ‘We don’t care about your time. If you want your charges, go to that damn well, you worthless piece of trash!

They just need to revamp Poe1 graphics to be as good as Poe2 and faithfully serve Poe1 players with new content at proper intervals and continue to develop Poe2 to their new vision.
I already said the new vision is a fine goal. The problem isn't with that aspect of PoE2. The issue is that every decision they made is at odds with this vision or entirely fails to competently (or competitively) support it.
Massive core changes are needed and I strongly doubt they are achievable in their stated release timeline, especially with an active early access.
Exactly this. ME and a friend went in impressed with the new tactical game where we needed to play smart and hard, using multiple skills. Fast forward, we are screen clearing and zooming with 2-3 skill buttons. Just no content worth doing with these builds, and also being punished stupidly for trying to have fun "you cannot enter this players area because you have died"

This feels like a cheap knock off of PoE1 by people who do not understand it and are chasing elden ring hype money.
This is right on the money, because in fact, no one at GGG truly understands why PoE1 succeeded. It did because they swallowed their shit "vision" in favour of player feedback and ideas. Now they have shat their "vision" out in the form of PoE2.
GGG stumbled, fumbled, and struck gold with PoE1. You don't get lucky like that twice in a row, and they can't replicate it because none of them know how they stumbled and fumbled. The problem is that they are high on their own myth, and they truly believe they are arpg creation gods.
Yes. Exactly. I didn't think of it before, but it makes sense why they have to try 5 times and fail 4 and a half of them to fix any issue that they finally admit to having.

I was completely uninterested in PoE 2 when it was still a graphical and content update for PoE 1. If I wanted to play PoE 1 I would play PoE 1.
The only reason I bought PoE 2 is because *it's not PoE 1*. I like the devs vision. The parts that are holding it back are explicitly things that are ported from PoE 1 (trading, crafting, seasons and leagues).
I will save your profile just to enjoy the irony in a year or two from now, when you will still have 0 supporter packs and won't have played a single league of PoE2.
Provided, that is, that GGG hasn't completely imploded by catering to worthless leeches like your kind, which I sincerely hope they do, because it will be hilarious.
This is how I feel about all the people with no background in the game that made GG what it is Andy'ing for some slop. Its best to just ignore them and let them have their tirades, they aren't paying us to listen, either.

60% of the feedback forum is either these people or people who don't even like ARPGs suggesting changes that no one who enjoys the genre would ever want lmao

Flavor of the month sycophants (Elden Ring, BG3, Helldivers 2, etc.) screaming for changes or praising things that PoE players don't want while telling us all to go back to "our own game that we already have." We can't have even the slightest criticism because X Twitch streamer said this was the best game ever made, and it must be so until the next best game ever next month :P
