GGG desperately trying to reinvent the wheel and ending up with a square.

You're not getting ripped off for buying a game you know little to nothing about and then finding out its not what you hoped it would be. I you want to know what you're buying then wait a week and read reviews before buying it.
Game is fine, needs a lot of tunning. Item crafting especially player/build wise needs to be adressed at the early stages because new classes are also on the way.

One shot is not good , especially those new players who is joining the game. Random one shots , off-screen one shots are bad design. Especially game ui/looks really narrow when you move up and down (may be zoom out option can fix). I got 2-3 times one shotted from off-screen by some kind of bombs or projectiles. Players should be able to react when they take damage.

Armour ; Adress armour. It is still in myth.

Too much lightning - shock ; Almost every build and talent tree leads to lightning / electrocute. Atleast Ranger-Merc talents. Make fire - cold also variable for this spec area.

Ascendacy ; I have no problem on both Trials but Honour mech on Sekhema must go away and ultimatum should be tuned down. This should be accessable by all type of players and should not be equal as uber boss design. Sekhema last boss Zarokh has like millions of hp.(4th ascend)

Projectiles are not hitting properly especially when forking. Auto aim also should be an option.

I don't understand why people who want PoE2 to be more like PoE1 can't just play that?
They're maintaining both of them, it's not either or.

Is it really though? Settlers since July, and no further updates until at least early February.
Combat is simple.
Keep your blood in.
Take theirs out.

Why do you keep pretending like the clearspeed gameplay of PoE is not immensely popular by the huge majority of PoE players? Even you know what you are saying is a lie.

PoE was not a popular game back in its early years when it was slow gameplay. It was the powercreep turning it into a fast paced game that made it so hugely popular. Most of us love it.

POE1 started growing in popularity when they started doing 3 month leagues long before Backedchicken's Vaal Fireball and the start of the dumb clear speed. Clear speed meta was a raging flame war on reddit (recall the projectPT and Mors days in the middle years of POE's history) for years before it actually cemented in and GGG gave up trying to nerf it.

But without POE1's clear speed POE2 is more popular in week 3 than any POE1 league ever and its a paid beta test LOL. If that doesn't suggest that a lot of ARPG gamers have been waiting for a less silly version of POE to play I don't know what to say.

Lots of ARPG gamers bounced off of POE due to the dumb ultra simple ultra fast, ultra repetitive gameplay. Most of the Diablo 2 category tried POE1 at one time or another called its gameplay dumb and went back to D2. Literally people who speed run sorc think POE1's gameplay was silly. And I do mean literally go search for MrLlamaSC's review of POE.

D2 had 10 second LK runs, 1 minute AT runs, 2:30 minute baal runs. It was ultra simple, ultra fast and extremely repetitive. Mrllamasc might not like POE1 but that's his preference. Him farming ancient tunnels 12 hours a day is no different than mapping in the end lol. Idk why I'm replying but that paragraph you wrote is kind of contradictory.
I agree with the og poster 100%.
Really wish they would just remaster poe 1 with these graphics.
The graphics and gameplay are godlike but every other change they made is mind boggling how bad it is.

I guess 350k players in the last 24 hours on steam only don't agree with you. How can you call something "objective" when it is YOUR opinion? I feel like the game is a huge upgrade compared to POE1, just needs tuning and endgame expansion.

i would say we've been playing with the wheel "forever".

they want to deviate by making it so that players have to actively control the wheel vs just making a wheel that spins real fast which is what they already have.

they will have to make a choice on who they want to keep happy.

as for me, poe1 should be the wheel that spins fast.

if poe2 becomes another poe1, i guess thats it for me. i prefer poe2 if it was a wheel that we have to control. theres zero innovation if all they want is a fast spinning wheel. poe1 already does it and does it very well for those who like it.

The game is in early access and needs improvements, but saying that the whole game is bad just because you like PoE1 more?
The good thing is that your opinion and the people who agree with it are very few. I just wanted to understand why they are here crying and comparing it to PoE1 rather than playing it. Keep playing PoE1 and have fun, the game is still there.

Upgrade of tedious systems like flask piano, links, socket colors, never enough currency for crafting, crafting being useless while doing campaign, stack as much attack and movement speed as you can and meh. Those are just from the top of my head. I could probably find 20 more. I enjoy POE2 like I have never enjoyed POE1.
