GGG desperately trying to reinvent the wheel and ending up with a square.
" Well, in a democracy, while people don't directly have a say in how their taxes are spent, how the current administration spends the money affects how the people vote in the next election. So, there is some degree of influence. Last edited by GregoryAdams#7051 on Dec 26, 2024, 4:31:45 PM

" Yes...if we are talking taxes. But I already said purchases in this game are NOT like taxes. Also "influence" is very different from "control". Because. they. are. PURCHASES. You are buying a product, and you receive said product. The transaction is done. You aren't buying a subscription, you aren't buying a seat at the table, you aren't buying a lobby token. You are buying a finite, immediate product. With the knowledge and the written agreement that GGG can do whatever they want after that. Taxes are irrelevant and a false comparison. They are a mandatory part of society, and they are continuous. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Dec 26, 2024, 4:40:41 PM

" This is a very innocent way to look at an involuntary system you didn't create and have no influence over on almost any level. Back to the topic. They need to get back to learning from the positives in the diablo series instead of running away from them. The calls for the auction house are a great example of how people are so mad they are proposing something that didn't work well in diablo for many years because of how bad the current POE systems function. People are also building around specific broken armor and putting prices on builds. Having to pay for respecs. Having to collect more uncut gems to respec skills, these are all lessons learned from D2 and early D3. Complaining that people are clearing too fast while having complex skill interactions and cast on X skills that are clearly going to kill everything on screen unless you nerf them into uselessness. Hey Exiles.
This this is a firm reminder to remember the Code of Conduct when posting on our forums. Keep it civil and related to the game. | |
|
I actually like CORE dynamics of POE2 much better then POE1 -- feels like it needs more character control skills and rewards it. And I always hated epileptic zooming of POE1 (just subjectivly, I know people love it).
That said, game currently has huge amounts of issues. .. - Unnecessary large maps - Boring, uninspired act 3 - Asc Trials! - Crafting - All sorts of balance things You name it, list can be continued. |

" Another person who gets banned because they're asking for the product that was promised. Yes. If the game is advertised as a live service game, it's more than fair to demand for the main point of this type of game, which is the constant updates. Which didn't happen since, well, the developers of this shitty game simply released the game in a deplorable state and went on vacation, and to hell with the players. |
|
" It is actually quite similar. Much like an elected politician wants to make sure that their voters are happy with how their taxes are spent to ensure that they get re-elected, a business wants to make sure that its customers are happy, so that they continue purchasing their products. So, in this case, it is reasonable that GGG at least somewhat concern themselves with the feedback of someone, who might purchase a supporter pack in the future. And of course, someone, who has purchased one in the past, is more likely to purchase one again in the future, and their opinion might therefore be given a somewhat greater weight. PoE2 was originally going to replace PoE1. It was as the game developed further and they realized it would diverge harshly from PoE1 in a lot of ways that they decided it would be wise to make them seperate games, as they knew the new game probably wouldn't appeal to a lot of the original game's fans due to the changes.

I don't understand why people who want PoE2 to be more like PoE1 can't just play that?
They're maintaining both of them, it's not either or. I like that PoE2 does this differently and if it went back to being like PoE1 is now I would quit again, same as I did with PoE1. I've been having a lot of fun with PoE2, rough around the edges as it is at the moment. Last edited by Fear#0145 on Dec 27, 2024, 12:54:15 AM

" Then apparently you didn't pay attention at all to what they were selling. They sold POE2 as a different experience, a harder one... hey, look, that's what we got. |
