Low Skill POE1 veterans are trying to ruin POE2. GGG please commit to your vision.
" A game that keeps getting harder as you play sounds like the most boring thing ever. You clearly don't understand what ARPGs are all about, what made PoE good and how its popularity funded the possibility of you even being able to play PoE 2. Do you know why ultra-hard games to the point of being rage-inducing are a niche? Because it's not fun for the majority of people. The game you are wanting PoE 2 to be is simply not sustainable, it will die and get no player retention if it starts releasing leagues in the current state the design is in. GGG will just make changes in order to keep player retention high, because that is quite literally the business model of this game. This isn't some AAA title you buy once and play on singleplayer every 2 years. Never will be. If you want hard games there are plenty to go around, so I will do what the "git gud" gatekeepers do now and simply suggest that you go play those since you clearly don't enjoy ARPGs. |

Do you know what will actually ruin this game, it's not the difficulty of the content. It's the players it attracts, but more importantly their wallet.
You cannot sustain a business let alone a game on 600 thousand free players, doesn't work, can't work. No human being wants to work for free. Now understand why successfully financially beneficial games inevitably get easier. Because majority of people who bring in the money that financially supports the company works long hard days and wants to come home to a nice easy, fun game that I can invest in and deposit large amounts of funds into. It's why blizzard create brain dead games, because the audience with the biggest wallet just wants to relax and have fun. Not stress out on boss strategies and being punished for making mistakes. |

" They failed to get them to kill t17s so the next best step for them is try to get them to kill POE2. Has to be exhausting |

and why does that matter to me? why do you need that ego trip? the fact that the game has been out such a short time and you already have 4 level 80 characters shows me exactly the point i was making... the game is too easy and they catered too much to the poe1 veterans.
anyway you are clearly not reasonable to talk to with your hostile remarks. so please leave. thank you. |

" Thank you, more sane comment Ive read so far. GGG are dumb to try to make the most niche genre a mainstream game. They should please people that will stick with them. Anyway anyhow I'm off the boat. I never asked to be faced with all the new lemmings, it doesn't matter where poe 1 or 2 goes. After 7k GGG can now fkoff and enjoy their success joining ubi, blizzard and cdprojekt ranks of "once great" companies. |

" Yes why would a game should release a sequel that have anything to do with the prequel for the players that play it for 10 years. What a shocker. What a bad idea. Do some crochet my dude, stfu. Last edited by epiphase#4568 on Dec 21, 2024, 2:50:18 PM

" I liked both campaigns. PoE2 does a much better job at telling the story but PoE1 had a really good story but wasn't told well. The difficulty is subjective in PoE2 based on class, rng and mode. With no crafting (the orbs are a lottery) and SSF off meta build it is difficult for the wrong reasons. GGG will make it great but right now for many it will be complete it once or twice and be done with it. That's not what made PoE1 so successful.
