Low Skill POE1 veterans are trying to ruin POE2. GGG please commit to your vision.

" YOU didn't PAY FOR POE2. You paid for POE1, you got what you paid for. What GGG did with THEIR money was up to them, not you. You are an entitled little child, grow up. |

" I engage by giving them no more of my money. You "I want it this way" people will be gone after the first league reset of your precious deadeye. Then GGG will realize how the screwed their core supporters.. |

" Every time somebody repeats this "you haven't spent enough money or time" crap I judge them for missing half of the forum titles/icons. I spent way more money on this before most of ya'll even started playing, and I feel entitled to the return of a hack-and-slash POE game that got transformed to appeal to all the D3 zoomers that got bored of that game. I already have mindless zoom-zoom POE1 to play when I want to watch a show or gaming tournament, and I don't need a sequel to a live service game that hasn't gone anywhere. There is no need to replace it with an identical game with shinier graphics and less content. They can update its graphics and add new skills and supports over time like they have been, and let myself and others in the mood for actual combat and friction and character building that isn't just "moar damage" or "what other ways can I shit out infinite explosions" enjoy a new experience which has no equivalent on the marketplace. POE2 has some rough edges and needs more content, but it sure as hell doesn't need to be POE1-again. |

" Many of us paid a LOT for POE 2. And its ironic you calling those who did "entitled". Using dad's credit card doesnt count as paying for it yourself you know. |

" As someone with over thirty thousand hours in poe1 i'll just say that we are all in one boat and this side vs side thing has never produced anything positive in a decade of discussion in this forum. Frustrated me so much at one point i wrote a short story about the conflicts in this community to de-stress some years ago. " Great, please share with us the invoices you received for the payments you made. Since you paid for POE2 I'm sure you have some documentation showing your money given to GGG specifically for the purpose of POE2 and nothing else. Or, perhaps, did you buy some supporter packs for POE1? You got some MTX for POE1, and some points for POE1 to buy more stuff for POE1? You didn't pay for POE2, you paid for MTX in POE1 and that is what you got. What GGG did with the money afterwards was their business, it wasn't your money anymore. |

There is such irony in all this and the state of POE 2, from what I am seeing it already looks like POE 1, the way people are smashing end game already, the only difference is they have to walk around slower.
In as much as GGG have tried to make it a different game it still seems to resemble and feel like POE 1 quite a lot, because once you get gear and work things out there isn't that huge of a difference other than some trickier and longer boss fights. I have been enjoying it myself and the learning curve, but the restrictions on movement are just tedious and a mistake IMO. Using movement and a movement skill is actually a big part of ones skill and survivability in an arpg, it is a big part of the action in arpg and makes games like this feel more fluid and enjoyable. If ggg want more difficult and interesting boss fights then do so in a way which still allows the player to use quick movement, make the bosses quicker. Some of my best memories of POE 1 are highly paced boss fights with turbo'd double piety, Vaal Oversoul, Dominus pre Ascendency when map sustain was very difficult. As it stands with such restriction on the fluidity of movement I do not see sustainability in this game for me, but I don't see why they can not have the best of both worlds? You want better bosses and skill based mechanics than ever, do so while making them faster as well, it just feels like you are walking around in mud half the time. Meanwhile the no lifers and streamers have still blasted the game within a couple of weeks. Last edited by ZeroHate#6619 on Dec 22, 2024, 3:19:43 AM
