Floored by the power spike of TRADING. This will ruin the game.

"

as you have done nothing outside of kick and scream that "I want this, and I like it this way."

extremely ironic here, because thats what youre doing essentially

youre here talking to a lot of poe vets who have had invested tens of thousands of hours into the game, from a perspective of someone who just found out how easy it is to get items via trade.

True, I see an objective problem, I have highlighted why it is a problem and a detriment to the player base, and I have offered solutions.

I don't see an issue.

I have even sought to maintain trade as an integral part of the game as part of my solution hoping to make everyone happy.

All you have done is kicked and screamed "I LIKE MY TRADE AND I LIKE IT HOW IT IS!" While offering no deeper insights.

I want to highlight really quick why a trade ticket system based on drops would improve trade in so many ways:

It provides an incentive for higher tier players NOT to saturate the market with massive amounts of what they consider trash, but to lower level players it breaks the game.

This system is so simple and fixes so many of the issues of the game bringing trade back to the glory days of haggling and trying to get the most out of a trade item for item.

You keep using the word objective but I don't think you know what that means lol.

Ultimately your vision is drastically different than what GGG has outlined for over a decade and while 2 changes a lot the power of trade isn't one of them.

Do you have any resources stating that GGG wants unrestricted trade akin to POE 1 in POE 2?

In all the resources I have taken in, GGG has stated they are trying to craft a more balanced play experience.
Some people are calling for an easy mode to be added to the game and you are calling for trading to be nerfed. Trading is entirely optional and a great way to move forward if your build gets stalled and becomes frustrating to work on.

I don't think I'm asking for trade to be "nerfed" I would argue that I am petitioning for trade to be "made sane"

And I agree in a perfect world you could trade some item you found for an item of similar power that fits your build and engage in a fun player run economy for that spike in power that helps you get over a road block without being so powerful that in invalidates all future content.

But as it stands players throwing orbs at the auction house for huge jumps in power in a hugely impersonal transaction that lasts 3 seconds just ain't it.

I've never seen them state anywhere that they don't want trade as a central pillar, or even want any changes related to trade. They even gave us the same trade website and all the supporting pillars like not having smart loot or the loot buff you want. If that's not a pretty clear indicator trade is still a central pillar for them I don't know what is.

I also don't understand your vision for now long players should be playing to reach end game? Your idea example mentions a couple month before, as I understood it, getting to end game? GGG has also said on the past they design each 3 month league to be played by the majority of players between 2 and 6 weeks iirc so they have time to take a break and play other games. Gameplay is slower but I've yet to hear anything about their goal to be that you have to no life the game for months to enjoy the content. Your vision sounds like you want people to grind all 3 months to reach end game of they can play more than average? Really don't understand the pacing you're envisioning tbh.

Your point would be fine if you just wanted your increased loot solo option. But instead you want to force your idea down everyone else's throat while being sanctimonious and referring to people that like trade as crack-heads.

If you want your vision to come to fruition, I recommend you do what GGG did and start your own game studio. Otherwise you're so far from their vision of the game that even if I agreed with the ideas I would bet large sums against it ever happening.

?

The piece of gear I sold for 1Ex to buy myself a piece of gear is roughly a similar power spoke for the person that bought it as the piece I buy. So... mission accomplished? Lol

This is only true at the upper echelons of power of late game. At any other point in the game short of mid tier maps you can purchase huge spikes in power for a paltry sum.
