Why does the "fanbase" of this game refuse to let other people have fun with it???
" +1, yeah so far poe2 feels like a knock off of poe 1 that picked alot of negatives from poe 1 while adding even more junk to the game that limits player agency. Skill gems tied to weapons and the limiting of multiple support gems is just a step backwards to a class system like diablo 4, not to metion the current passive tree is just filled with boring percentage stat nodes, which feels like a reskin of diablo 4 paragon board. |

" I doubt that the development of POE1 can continue alongside POE2 without impacting its quality; it would be economically unsustainable. I hope I’m wrong. |

" How do you know most people like to when the forums are clealry showing people dont? The hype week is over, between now and janauray reality will set in and peopel will just move on to soemthing esle. |

This seems a great idea if GGG can pull it off. Clearly there are 2 sets of players. Give them 2 options. Normal and Difficult. People who have fun with slow progression and speed, want to invest 10+ hours or more, like mechanical game play, want to fight bosses repeatedly, learn and excel, feel the excitement/rush after fighting n number of times either a boss or sanctum or ultimatum and finally overcoming the challenge can play Difficulty Level. People who want faster progression and speed, have lesser time to invest, want to play several classes/characters/builds, kill and loot, try to farm currency fast and make a super dps build and then play with it can have Normal Difficulty. Why should one fanbase not allow the other to have the option of a game they want to play? |

"lso why do we need games to be a "skill level check" and why does the only skill in the game are reflexes? I mean in PoE2 being able to dodge roll everything is more important than ANYTHING else... your build doesn't even matter compared to your dodge roll..."
100% In POE1 you could build a dodgy character if you wanted to but you could build a face tank character too. I like to build and play Face tank. You cant in POE2. What is stupid is we were told it was a POE-Like game and we got a Diablo/Souls-Like game with a POE skin. I swear sometimes it seems GGG is very disconnected from the players and from what a game good. |

Splitting up the community is generally a bad thing imo..
They can't please everyone, they ruined poe1 for me over the years, i love this slower pace game play. |

It's tragic to see the community destroy itself over this. An easy mode would not interfere with boring mode but the newcomers hate PoE1 players so much that they prefer the game to fail that to give us what we need to play.
The ball is in GGG's camp but I honestly think it's too late to save the community. Loads of long term players are/will leave(ing) and most new players will too within a few months as boring mode has no returning value. Anyone else wishes they kept their original word from 5 years ago?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcd9BfVw7hQ We would have PoE1 with nice graphics by now... |

"What? Elden Ring is one of the most popular games ever. |

" Splitting the community is better than having only half the community. There are thousands of PoE1 players wanting to play right now, but just don't have the will to drag themselves through this 'game'. |

Why does PoE1 fanbase refuse to let us have fun with this game?
