GGG Please don't ruin your masterpiece!
Pesonally I like the difficulty. It reminds me of the early days when we were scared of the Rhoas in the mudflats very early in the campaign.
I fully expect them to gradually make the campaign easier until it becomes trivial in the coming years though. Just like they did with POE1. Ruining their masterpiece in your words but it's a good thing because after a while the campaign becomes boring for most people no matter what and then you just want to race to endgame and the seasonal mechanics. |

" They don't have years, having watched and played games since the 80's and seen trends and gaming mistakes most will be out by january. This a game for the few not the many in 2024. |

The peripheral manaufacturers agree with the op. They are gleefully anticipating an increase in kb replacements needed if this bastardization of a dark souls game with an arpg becomes popular. New marketing campaign from Razer. " Our kb space bar can survive 2yrs of playing a derp like game!" (Derp = Dark Exile Roll Playing game).

I absolutely love the direction GGG is envisioning for the ARPG genre. I hope mindless full screen 1 button explosions is a thing of the past. Playing POE2 makes me realize how ridiculous that kind of gameplay is.
I really hope GGG stick to their vision, and that players that don't like it will get in the right mindset to see the value of this evolution of ARPG. In reality, I'm pretty sure nobody wants a POE1 clone. That would be meaningless and in the end, even people who asked for it would question the reason why there's 2 of them. |

I haven't played in a couple of days simply due to medical issues, but after completely tossing out my first character and starting over I've been able to play more an I appreciate certain things more. I've heard Infernalist Witch - which I plan on going - is uncomfortable until roughly 30, but I've also heard it's no problem so I guess I'll find out when I get to that.
But I have a question for the people who enjoy a lot of the aspects of it including the slowness and 'difficulty' (Which others consider tedium or the likes). How many times have you run the campaign? Not giving anything to your newest character to simulate a season start? I ask because obviously the first time through the game that's new is a good feeling, but if you plan to keep playing and doing seasonal stuff obviously we have to go through it over, and over, and over again. So I'm curious about people who have already gotten to the maps and are enjoying the game, how many times have you run it? Which class and ascendencies have you done? |

" you say other people are whining... yet they still play, and you are here crying to GGG... odd. anyway. you can have diffculty, it's called endgame, it's called ruthless mod, it's called playing challenging builds... the campaign wasn't, and never will be, a gauntlet of diffculty. it's meant to teach the player he has to think. not break him from playing the game. chillax, if you came into this early access expecting everything to remain just like it is, weather you like it or not. then I don't think you understand what early access means... |

" They won't necessarily have to, if they can properly make new leagues fit into the campaign. The whole rushing the campaign business comes from all of the effort going into pinnacle bosses and atlas progression, eclipsing the earlier parts, which get absolutely nothing and remain stale. |
