GGG Please don't ruin your masterpiece!

Agreed. This game is a new type of ARPG, one that's more than just mindlessly run around and spam 1 skill and destroy thousands of mobs.

I like that style of ARPG, I've been playing it for years, but this more slow, strategic type is better. The combat is way more advanced and satisfying and the pace feels more RPG.

Drop rates of items and currencies can be tweaked here and there to hit the sweet spot, but the actual gameplay I'm loving.

So there's all this talk of "we should have 2 difficulty settings to appeal to a wider audience". What would this "easy mode" be about? I doubt the monster numbers would be tweaked, that'd mean having to track two sets of numbers which is hell on dev maintenance. So what player numbers would be suitable for an "easy mode"? And would that "easy mode" just be the community providing trade and advice?

PoE2 is great, it's fresh and original in the genre, and I'll be immensely disappointed if they dumb it down to mimic PoE1.

PoE1 has Ruthless Mode... If anything, give PoE2 an 'Easy Mode' league for folks who need something more basic.

Agree with OP. The game is an incredible breath of fresh air in the ARPG space. Don't dumb it down or make it easier for the vocal minority. If they don't like the pace or challenge of the game, they can go play something they do like.

I've been completely blown away by this game in its current state and can't wait to see what the full release looks like. Are there some bugs, issues, or mechanics that need tweaking? Sure, but the core gameplay is incredible and I hope it doesn't change.

Agreed, and in that mode give them floaties, preverbal of course, and then just name every item with the ES moniker in front of it.

I've played PoE1 since early beta. Not new at all. I didn't spend thousands on supporter packs, but I did spend money on tons of stash tabs and bought into EA. My opinion on the game is no lesser than yours just because you spent more money.

People that like PoE2 will invest into it even if you wont. There is no way to satisfy both sides. So for people who prefer PoE1 over PoE2 can simply go back and play PoE1. GGG should stick to their vision for the game instead of catering to all the complainers. People that like the game will stick around and support it. I know I will.
