but in this game they track you while winding up making it difficult to get away from

"This game" is an ARPG game where you have multitude of ways to increase your survivability and simply not die to incoming damage even if you don't roll out.

mhm, all of which are reasonably expected to be done in acts you betcha. Specially for those tracking skills meant to one shot you.

I get it, your a fan. but try not to let it cloud your vision it doesn't help to further a discussion it only makes the conversation dishonest.
i hate soulslike games.

this is NOT a soulslike game. you can farm a little more and just steamroll the boss. you cant do that shit in a soulslike
This is not a soul-like game as you can roll dodge through almost everything and you can overgear/overlevel the content indeed.

After being geared properly, one-shot mechanics are less of a one-shot, except if you build up for Evasion (as Evasion doesn't work with Slam/AoE/perpetual attacks or spells). With a lot of armour, I was capable to get by being hit once by a slam attack in case I didn't roll dodge perfectly. It's probably the same with Energy Shield : You could get hit once and get out of there if you have a fair amount of Energy Shield.

As such, one, if not the main limiter to character power is loot : For physical/melee classes, weapons make up 100% of your DPS. Crappy loot during Act 1 makes the game harder, fights longer and you don't want to fight white mobs unless you can pretty much kill them fast, so you avoid them. Some people like it, but I think that it can make the game feels more tedious in early acts and not getting any decent armour drops means you get no damage reduction at all. This is important, for player retention, to ease them in a little bit and by getting new skills, new loot and new support gems more easily at first, it feels better.

Now, as someone pointed out, as soon as you get either a combo going or better loot/better skills, you start ramping up damage and while you're not fast zooming the map in PoE(1) style, it can be pretty fast to take down mobs and bosses alike.

The overall movement feels slow/sluggish unless you get some movement speed going (10+, ideally 20), but most ARPG are similar when you don't have movement speed on your gear. It's only that this time around, it's usually quite rare to drop boots with movement speed and decent armour/evasion

Edit : I wish they added some kind of "leveling" maps that would not be boss gated. Sometimes, I had to go level up or farm in earlier zones because I couldn't get through the boss, even if trash mobs (exp) weren't an issue. I couldn't progress without beating the boss, but couldn't beat the boss due to being undergeared (5 minutes+ fights where one mistake means You're dead).

But you can, unless it's Sekiro. I don't care about difficulty, but each boss area being so small and monster respawn on death is bs cheap mechanic.
The boss areas are not small lmfao. Have you even played the first Act?

Wrong. I'm simply a person who specs towards more HP, more armor, more resistances, more evasion, etc every time after I start encountering dangerous situations.

You are the person that ignores it completely, then tries to dodge roll instead of changing your build, then arrives at forums and starts writing lenghty posts about how you hate the game and how it should be made easier IMMEDIATELY.
I wish we could go back to a time before everyone thought that having dodge rolls and a health bar that can tolerate maybe 2-3 mistakes before healing was considered "souls-like." This is literally the default premise of many real time action games older than souls.

"Souls" is now a boogeyman term for, "Oh no, I have to press buttons to react to glowing lights. The horror! Only I should be casting glowing lights in this house!"

The best part of it is that you really don't have to. Even a "squishy" (not really) sorceress can play with a build where you barely even touch dodge roll button.

I see you have not played then. There is no life on the tree you don't simply just "Spec" into more life.

Every +5 STR node is +10 HP node.

Way to own yourself, sir.
