I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd
" Helldivers 2 had 500k and top reviews now they have 20/30k after bad choices. |

" By that point, you will have plenty of orbs to make your own stuff. And frankly, I'm calling BS on little every single drop and merchant item and orb roll having been unusable up until lv 15. |

I'm worried that GGG will listen to antisocial children that confuse tedium with difficulty, and confuse complaints about poorly designed mechanics making the game difficult in unfun ways for people being somehow lesser than them.

It's been 3 days and already people are calling the game dying, its bloody stupid is what it is. Sure it's got problems that need fixing but that's what early access is for.
I mean we haven't even gotten the other 6 classes yet and as for the difficulty I find its better to start off higher and then slowly bring it down to a place where the majority is happy rather than starting off low and then pissing off people when you increase it so they find it too hard The only things I could agree with when it comes to all the complaining is that there needs to be bit more loot in the first act to help people get going and the respec costs could be brought down like 20% to help people experiment with different builds. Apart from that I am having a fantastic time and I am enjoying PoE 2 so much that I am considering making it my main game over 20+ years of World of Warcraft I know that some of you wanted PoE 2 to be a more graphically impressive and more streamlined version of PoE 1 but that was never going to happen. If it did then there would be no reason for PoE 1 to hang around as everything you could want from Poe 1 would be served you in PoE 2. However that's not what PoE 2 is about, its fundamentally a different style of ARPG than the type that PoE 1 is. You don't have to like PoE 2, you still have everything you want in an ARPG in PoE 1 if that's your thing. I can't speak from experience because I basically only tried PoE 1 from a week before PoE 2 EA and I only made it to 68, I enjoyed myself but I am having more fun with PoE 2. Early access is a time to smooth out problems and help bring the game into a better place for those who will join us when the game launches and goes F2P. But if you think that PoE 2 will become just another loot simulator then you will be disappointed because thats simply not what PoE 2 is or likely will be |

the game is not fun. Im currently lvl 50 in act 4. the only time it feels good to be killing anything is when I went back to a zone 7-8 lvl under my current level. could be difficulty, could be the crippling low drop rates of everything else. If something doesn't improve I wont be revising my steam review. If the problems are solved by making ruthless an option people can opt out of then im all for having a more fun experience being optional. I am unconcerned or even remotely bothered by anyone who wants a difficult experience so they can clear it once and move to another game. I highly doubt anyone who plays Elden ring or souls to have logged 1000 hours or more playing those games.

" It sounds like you're either running in and getting mobbed, or your build is bad. In act 4, you have plenty of orbs to craft the gear you want. Last edited by Fae_Lyth#6750 on Dec 9, 2024, 3:35:23 PM
