I am worried that GGG might listen to the whiny "game too difficult :(" crowd

Professionally, we call that "skill issue" and "git gud".

I know that big words elude you but psychometically you CAN'T get significantly enough better at certain things with expected levels of investment.

Sounds to me that as long as it works for you then you're unwilling to fight for others that would also like to enjoy the same things.

First they came for .... [hopefully you can fill in the rest]

Imagine equating "Keep improving" to the Holocaust.
My fucking god.

Actually I'm equating your unwillingness to help those disadvantaged without it costing you much to "First they came for .. and I did not speak out".

I'm thinking that's exactly what the saying was trying to teach us ...

Note: The original point is was that some people effectively react slower than others but are being punished out of proportion with the problem they have.

My point that you refuse to take is that people can NOT improve significantly without undue investment. You sound smart so I know you are intelligent enough to understand. My only assumption left is you don't care.

If you don't care to help someone when it costs you nothing then does that not fit ... Of course it does and that's why you don't like it.

yeah, why wouldnt she help all those poor people who are literally trying to character assassinate her for liking a video game that they hate ... so weird, so selfish

Answer to what? That you think minions - arguably one of the best classes in the game - is "undertuned" (sic)?

Yes. Please explain how summoners, in PoE2, is one of the best classes in the game right now. From where I'm standing, in act 3 normal, my skeletons are getting butchered even with more than half of my passives being used on improving their survivability. Do they get better at higher levels? Which ones are actually good?

I'm currently playing as a minion witch. I'm breezing through the game.
You mentioned Arsonist. I am also using Arsonist.
My build is centered around Flame Wall + SRS + Arsonist.
For bosses I have Flammability and Pain Offering.
Everything melts.

It might be your passive tree. It might be your gear. It might be your support gems.
I didn't bother with survivability at all at first, and just connected all the dots saying "minions deal more damage".
My build creation was: search "minion", connect dots, profit.
I also crafted a "+1 to all minion skill level" sceptre early on in act 1, and a "+1 to all fire skill level" wand in act 3.

I can share my build if you like.

I am literally running that exact same build. Maybe not the same kind of scepter and I can't speak for the other gear you're using. Personally I opted into using a kite shield with a scepter main hand for 2 warrior skeletons since I like blocking hits.

And yet my damage at the current level of progression in the game feels terrible. My fiance plays merc and just blows past mob packs while it takes me a bit to chew through them, even longer if they have a rare. And again, despite how much I put into minion defenses, they still get smeared by any kind of AoE, especially bosses.

I can only assume they just scale better at higher levels, but right now, I'm not feeling it.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

The funny thing is, I've offered to look at builds and give suggestions on 3 separate occasions in this thread alone lol

I don't recommend a shield. Use a wand + sceptre. Wand will give you great bonuses that you want as a witch.

If you're going for the same playstyle, it's gotta be
- your skill tree
- your support gems (they make a big difference)
- your playstyle (don't rush into maps, play slow, work your way through it methodically while spamming Flame Wall and letting Arsonists shoot at them from behind)

It's a homebrew build, and I've gone into this game blind (as I always do with games I play), so I can not tell you how it compares to other builds. But I can definitely tell you that it has been consistently very strong from obtaining SRS in Act 1 up until now (end of Act 5) where I am at.

What character assassination?? You're jumping to conclusions. The game is great for the audience that they are targeting. I'm only wanting to be in that target audience so I can enjoy it too!!!

The problem is one of the key mechanics does discriminate against those that process information slowly. If you process information too slowly you're punished .. simple enough. I'd simply like some allowances where that is taken more into account.

Let me ask you ... would giving some additional time on "Dodge-or-Die" mechanics hurt that much?? What would it cost to be OK with that??

... or is it easier to disregard my arguments because they're inconvenient?

And I ALSO apologized and said you would help with builds ... Why you will help one set of folks but not another that REALLY WANT TO ENJOY the game escapes me though :(

I get motion sickness easily and suffer from migraines. FPS "discriminate" towards me because I am physically unable to play them without running to the toilet every 30 seconds and throwing up.

Happens. Not everything is for everyone.

I could go into the Call of Duty forums and demand they make it into a 3rd person game, ideally top-down, so I can play it without throwing up.
I don't. I focus on the things I can and do enjoy instead.

And if I did, the CoD community would rightfully be upset at me and defend their game.

I mean GGG's best tactic right now would be to hard commit to POE1 as the speedy trivial clear speed version of POE and hard commit to POE2 being an actual ARPG. Like I know thats what they've already heavily implied if not outright stated, but literally make a big announcement:

POE1 will be the zoomy game we wont nerf broken stuff unless lots of people want it, we'll make even more dumpsters of loot rain down. But POE2 is for actual immersive gameplay and D2 pacing.

MrLlamaSC finally likes an ARPG that isn't Diablo 2... You know GGG did something right.
Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years.
