PoE2 is simply not an enjoyable game and the player counts are going to plummet

I agree. I don't want it to, but as it stands idk why I'd keep playing this over PoE1 or more to the point, Dark Souls/Elden Ring, the game they actually wanted to make.

Thing is:

In DS/ER the large open maps have tons of secrets and things to discover, PoE2 larges open maps are just endless slogs of combat with maybe 3 things to find

In DS/ER each boss drops a semi useful item depending on what build you are doing, in PoE2 the boss drops are garbage 99% of the time

In DS/ER relatively early on you can get your combat style going and if you are knowledgeable you can pretty much make a build before you even start the primary sequence of events. In PoE2 half my skills are locked behind lv 40 meaning I Will use the same handful of leveling builds each character

In DS/ER the bosses have telegraphed attacks requiring timing and precision that are clearly visible. In PoE2 it's just AOE spam mostly you spend your time spamming dodge roll in circles around, or at least that's what carried me to lv 54 and cruel difficulty.

The reward for beating this games spammy and tedious bosses is another spammy and tedious boss.

Once I learned maps were 1 death and you're kicked out, I just quit. MAybe it'll be fun down the road but PoE1 is a superior ARPG and DS/ER are superior souls games, this is a mash of both and a succcesor to neither.

Yeah it does seem like the devs tried to take some inspiration from the Dark Souls series without understanding what made those games so good/popular in the first place.

It honestly feels like they looked at PoE1 and thought "How can we make the user experience more miserable in every way possible?" and that's how they ended up with PoE2.

Dude, if you add up the 9 DS games sold on all platforms, there are less than 28 million copies sold. WORSE as Diablo 3 is only on PC, it has sold more than 30 million.
The truth is that Elden Ring is the ONLY Soulslike that we can reasonably call popular. The first two DS games are terrible and flops. Furthermore, none of them have audience retention because their collected gameplay is tiresome and easy to get bored with. Most of these games lose 90% of their play base in the first 18 hours and never recover. I don't understand how they can think that something so FAILED could be a good idea for a seasonal game.

Bro, no offense because I love PoE and PoE2, but PoE drags zero players and lives off whales. Let's be honest here, 350k peak league is incredible embarrassing
Hey OP,

Try not to be one of those people who, if someone does not share your opinions, you call them stupid or disingenuous.

Just try. I believe in you. You can do it.
Soooo, It doesn't take 15 mins to kill bosses without a top meta build. more like 7 to 10.

And even then, that's with an unoptimized build. Like bloodmage/lightning w/ some crit thrown in.

And I played it mostly w/o the bloodmage ascendancy. The game needs a bit of work and tuning. And by tuning, I mean some of the ascendancy nodes for bloodmage have very little reward for high risk.

either way, enjoying the game. Honeymoon isn't over, and I'm looking forward to rerolling Sorc due to Leech seemingly not working on bloodmage at 4 ascendancy points.

Cheers.

Sorc with freeze is a much more comfortable feeling. Game to me however is insanely boring. No rewards for bosses at all, most good skills locked behind lv 40, bosses are mostly just spamming aoe all over while I roll in circles like I am cosplaying sonic. GGG never wanted to make an ARPG, they wanted to make a soulclone apparently
29k reviews out of potentially 1m+ players.

Yeah, give it time bud, once people are over the honeymoon period, the cope will help you. Negative reviews are already seeping in.

Pretty much, it's not beyond saving but their desperate attempts to make a souls-like ARPG will only cater to a very specific few. I am already more excited for the PoE1 league since I know I won't be continuing this. Boggles my mind they think maps being one death only was good

Bloodmage leech doesn’t work? I was holding off using my first 2 points(which is a problem in itself, ascending shouldn’t be a negative) until I could counteract it with the leech node.

What is the "ideal" time to kill a boss? Just curous how many minutes it should take?

A good Meta build should kil a boss in a few minutes. I think some builds are killing bosses too fast right now and skipping phases.

80% positive reviews on steam. Seems like it's quite the opposite of what you thought guys.

Psst poe1 is 93 percent positive from recent reviews, and like 87 percent positive alltime.

IT was 82 percent positive yesterday, so its down 2 percent in a day.

How is that a good look?

Don't worry all these people blowing smoke up GGG A**, eventually it's gonna be hard down the road to find profit amongst all that hot air and glitter.
