PoE2 is simply not an enjoyable game and the player counts are going to plummet

Game is great

Not soulslike at all - checkpoints everywhere, playable with just mouse, no loosing of progress, regenerating flasks, no parry, much too easy for a soulslike

Go play PoE 1 and show them the numbers growing there and plummet here, instead of making projections out of your hurting butt

Having played and beaten most every souls game, it is a souls game. 100%

Most will be reaching cruel soon and will bow out, they won't even make endgame.
I gotta laugh at the people thinking review on a game that is about 100 hours long with some endgame experience, will have anything resembling fair reviews on steam after 4 days.
I think the amount of players that have reached maps are less than 5%.

Watch the negative reviews trickle in.
It will happen if the current trajectory isn't radically altered.

In a month POE2 will be a "mostly positive" game at best at this course.

So far steam reviews have grown from 80% positive to 84% positive.

You have a nice way of self-owning, sir.
This game is amazing I'm enjoying it so much
You have to stop playing if you don't have fun. GGG needs to see the line going down, otherwise they'll mistake the new players trickling in as positive sign (while those new players only balance out the leaving players).

The faster you stop playing, the faster GGG notices they've done something wrong.

You might think that GGG bases their decision on player sentiment, but it's impossible if it's all over the place and there's always vocal minorities trying to make the game fun for 0.02% of the player base. They're mostly looking at player counts and correlating it with recent changes. If change bad, stop playing, if change good, play more hours. That's how you get a fun game, trying to fix bricked build you spent 30 hours making and spending another 30 hours in game is telling GGG you love this and they should brick your current build to get 30 more hours of engagement out of you.

Every game is a souls-like if you're bad enough at it. That said, it's day 5 and we're ALL kinda bad at it. That's okay.

It's not the sequel I expected to Dark Soul, I mean Poe-1... sorry. This game has some nice things, some good things, but it's not what I expected as a sequel, and I find that sad. Something happened here that changed the game for the worse, it lacks Poe's soul. When I get tired of the novelty of Poe-2 I'll go back to Poe-1 which for me is, even with its age, BETTER.

It even reminds me more of Diablo-3 than Poe. The graphics don't feel the same, nor the gameplay, nor anything. It's not my game. I bought the pack, but that's all it will be if it's not truly the sequel I expected to Poe and I can see that it's not going to be.

Because everything has generally been dumbed down for console. Gem system- dumbed down. Feels like there's 1 "right" combination of spells for each ascendancy and that's it. Zero creativity compared to PoE1.

Flask system- dumbed down

Crafting system- dumbed down (this is a good thing imo but not to this extent)

Game honestly just feels like a simplified, slower, more tedious version of PoE1 at this point.

Nothing would dumb it down more though than just teleporting behind a charging or shooting mob and click to delete.

Flask piano and matching gem slots on gear thankfully gone forever, dumber or not.

You have no idea what makes a soulslike then. Hint it's not difficulty and dodge roll.
