PoE 2 Is For Tourists
" I never said it neede to be more of the same, just when you take the worst parts of a game and put them in a new game dont be surprised when people dont come back every league/season, the sole reason poe1 is and will still be thriving. Poe2 has no sustainability in its current state, its way too tedious and unfun for that, artificially increasing the difficulty by making certain mechanics worse doesnt make a game good it just frustrates your entire playerbase. |

" how do you even know that? I am not frustrated and I am part of the "loyal playerbase" been playing since 2014, kept coming back to most leagues, I didn't like the zoom speed meta and I LOVE the current poe2, hell, in steamcharts the game STILL has 200k players even after the weekend, if it was as tedious and bad as you said people would drop it in hours" |

" Name an example. 1 is enough. |

"GGG said they wanted to go a different direction to have two games for two types of players, which makes sense. Why would they have the same ARPG game twice? It would be a bad business choice. I'm not playing PoE 1 for the same reasons why I'm playing PoE 2. |

"I can't buy 200 copies of the same map and mindlessly run them all in one hour with striktiEST filter ever and then sell all currency found to RMT - POE2 is bad"
Ok, we got this. Auctioneer House - is a MUST!
'POE2' is not 'POE1 2.0'! https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3614313 |

I appreciate the OP's feedback points. I don't appreciate how OP and other people expect EA to be a game with the final design in mind. As you've seen, they've been patching values to drops now. Isn't that the point of EA, which you knowingly bought into? Or did you expect what this game is now to be the final product? And before EA, there's been waves of tests with people ranging from people who never played ARPGs to veterans. Which means now they have even more data to tune the game for even more granular types of players, which is definitely part of the whole EA/beta process.
Also, wasting "players" time as if grouping everyone into the category that agrees with you is laughable. I don't have your viewpoint, so it didn't waste my time. Yes, I find sometimes that the dodging mechanic needs to be toned down because you're only able to get 1 hit in before you need to dodge again. Perhaps the game needs to find a way to let you get more hits in and dodge less. Having said that, I find the combat to be more engaging in PoE2 than PoE1. In PoE1, my first playthrough took a while because I was full clearing maps. It's the same for me in PoE2. But in both games, I have relatively blazed through the campaigns after knowing what to do in the second playthrough. I expect to be even faster by the time I do my third playthrough or have a toon with better starting gear. Still, I think the maps can be scaled down to 10-20% and have the mob density be a bit tighter in the later acts. Keep it up, GGG. Last edited by frankshmank#3123 on Dec 10, 2024, 5:46:31 AM

I certainly love how some "not tourists" are continuing to kick an unfinished horse by criticizing build variety.
We literally don't have more than HALF of skills available yet. At least a quarter of passive tree does nothing at all due to being linked to equipment we don't have. Cool your fucking jets and let the game approach its ready state at least a little before you talk seriously about builds. |

" - Warrior best ability is autoattack - Warriors are punished if not playing totems / ranged in Trials - Stuns pushes bosses away, wasting uptime on melee hits - ... And the list goes on ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "Gkek#1581":
*People with any semblance of intelligence don't watch an entire season of a TV show just to see if it's any good lol* |

" Well don't launch it yet, or even better only release the stuff that is finished, tested and approved ? "Gkek#1581":

" Were you cryogenically frozen in 2000? Honest question. Nowadays ALL games do their testing with playerbase, not some dedicated testing groups. " This is blatantly false. " This isn't blatantly false, but still false. Still, it's a trials issue, not a whole game issue. " This has about the same amount of benefits as drawbacks. Depends on how exactly you play. Unless you're blindly spamming autoattack, closing the gap isn't hard and doesn't require specifically moving towards the mob. You have gap-closing skills. So your list just vanished.
