Please GGG don't instantly nerf everything because guide gamers game journalists think its too hard

Instead of nerfing it they should just increase access to gear... either through increased drops of rare gear or increased currency drops for crafting/vendors. My character is level 31 now and i have not found or been able to craft anything with +spirit on. The only additional spirit i've aquired was in act 1 from one of the sidecontents. It is quite detrimental to a minion build to hardly be able to keep any minions up.
The bossfights are great, and i do not want them to change the difficulty of the content outside of increasing players access to power.

This is my issue. I understand that as someone with a disability who has been hyped af for this game, and I play minion builds to help with the disability I have, it actually pisses me off then makes me very sad because of something like that. I CAN'T do it, because mechanics or lack of, are counter to my build. I couldn't get more skill gems to change my build since there's no bodies I can use in the interim phase and no matter how well I can dodge, duck and dodge, if I don't have corpses for the minions of unearth or raise zombie I just ... am useless.

And then the serious lack of spirit for reviving minions. Fuck. That. Gimme more damn spirit options

Almost an hour spent attempting to get past this roadblock, didn't want to dodge roll for another 10 minutes before dying to a single mistake or accumulation of small hits. Quit. Uninstalled. Asked for a refund. Got denied. Proceed to cry on forums.
So funny how all these players with million medals can't kill the Wolfman lol. PS5 player here, playing with my wife couch-coop monk+sorc. Died twice, got 2-3 more levels, get some more gear and killed it.
Cry less, play more.

Last paragraph first, softcore is supposed to be easy mode. This game is not easy by any single metric.
The title infers that the entire media are calling this too hard (which I doubt) and they are 100% correct.
Trash needs to be half as hard, bosses mostly are ok but either we needs more rewards to prepare or some bosses need nerfing. Revive time is interrupted by dmg and that just makes duo runs a near 100% suicide to revive teammate, a better option would be remove revives and replace them with respawn at checkpoint with a given (say 30 seconds) delay, that increases each death.

FYI I am a 58 year old gamer and programmer with lots of experience and I have adapted to enjoy the most part of this game except the time to complete even basic kills.


Softcore does not mean "easy mode." It means Softcore. Just because I want to keep playing if I die doesn't mean I want the game to be easy. Whether or not the game should have an explicit easy mode is a separate situation entirely from Softcore/Hardcore.

I would say the game isn't easy, but it certainly isn't the hardest game I've played, and I'm not exactly a l33t gamer of any kind. Also "not easy by any single metric." There are checkpoints all over the place, and as far as I've seen, always one right before the boss. Idk what games everyone else has played, but that's pretty darn lenient in my own experience.

If basic kills are taking you too long, I'd say tweak your build somewhat from defenses to DPS. Otherwise I'd just say, normals aren't supposed to be "trash" in this game. Its an explicit decision for every enemy to pose at least SOME threat, as opposed to POE 1 where there's virtually no reason for normals to exist past like, ACT 3 tops.

Revive time is supposed to be really hard in bosses, they wanted it to be basically 1 life per player in bosses unless the living player really clutches it out. My reasoning for thinking this is that in the ACT 1 boss, when he starts to howl to bring in the fog, revive is straight up disabled, because it would be basically free if you timed it right. Now if you disagree with this mentality, I understand, but I've personally enjoyed it thus far.

I'll also say that while I'm enjoying the game, if other people aren't I doubt its down to the difficulty, it seems much more like balancing issues to me. Which there's always going to be since this is the first couple days of a year long early access. I would not, however, ever tell anyone they're wrong for not enjoying their current experience, whether it's difficulty or not. (You didn't do this, I'm more making a general comment based on what I've seen in the thread thus far.)

Anyway, we're all going to have disagreements about what the game "should" be (I for one am not looking forward to XP loss on death when map lock outs on death already exist this go around.) We'll just have to all leave our own feedback and see what the game becomes, I guess.
The mob difficulty is great, sometimes I beat up hoards of mosnters, sometimes they get me off guard and kill me? It's in a good place. I really hope they don't make mobs weaker, I find this funner than fighting bosses.

But bosses are insane, and just too tanky. And I'm using bell / lightning fury spam, that thing lays on the damage doesnt it?
