The game is not difficult. I died once, and I killed all the bosses except 1 until lvl10 first try with my Warrior. If they make it easier it's going to be dumb. I would actually make it slightly harder.

so you have one eye, and constant pain, and loss of partial use in your left hand and Dyspraxia... good to know.

Surely you understand that if the developers balanced the game around you then it would be too easy for 99% of the playerbase? Your situation is horrible, and I do sympathise. I suffer from chronic pain myself, I have to take 12 prescription painkillers and nerve blockers a day just to get out of bed due to severe sciatica, herniated discs and cubital tunnel syndrome, as I type this my right arm is on fire and I can barely feel two of my fingers. After having major surgery I can game again, but not comfortably, there was a long period of time where I could only play point and click games with my left hand and yeah, it sucked, but sometimes you just gotta accept the bad hand you were dealt.

I am all for accessibility features, but you can't tune difficulty around a tiny portion of the playerbase.

funny how I've played most ARPGS to end game...

Well that's not surprising, PoE 2 is more difficult than most aRPGs. If you don't enjoy, or can't play harder games then you don't have to, there's millions of people who don't play Souls games even though they're incredible, and that's absolutely fine. Video games aren't one size fits all. And remember, PoE 1 isn't going anywhere and it will be supported with new leagues as always. I could understand the complaints more if GGG were replacing PoE 1 with 2, but they're not.

I'll believe it when I see it. PoE2 has already cost PoE1 a league as well as a ton of resources
Game is not hard.

Everyone complaining about difficulty should just go back to PoE1 or other ARPGs and forget this exists. That's one of the reasons why a few years ago they decided to make it standalone, instead of the initially planned PoE 4.0 - right?

They knew this would happen. Different audiences.

Game is not hard.

My theory is peoploe are playing it like PoE 1 and failing. 1 main skill, some other side skills, but no thought or synergy in the skills.

And that's precisely the wrong playstyle. My sorceress works because I actively use 4 different skills all the time.

Frost Bolt with Ice Nova and Cold Snap, Enfeeble as a support curse and a Frost Bomb for applying Exposure.

You can't 1-skill-win this game like PoE. You need to have some synergy and meaningful supports.

And that's exactly what I love about the game
Problem isn't difficulty, problem is it's boring. The fights are easy, they just take forever. Everything takes forever. They overcorrected from PoE1. Game needed to slow down, but nowhere near this much.
I agree with no knee-jerk reaction. But the folks here saying it isn't hard are doing the opposite. The start of any game shouldn't be immediate punishment. Also, if you think the game isn't hard but you are in Act1 then maybe play a bit more. And also experiment with other classes, because melee is rough. And keep in mind that a lot of casuals go melee tank/facesmash warrior and they are severely punished right out the gate.

I don't play souls games. Because I don't want *that* level of combat frustration. It's fine in a game where you fight less encounters with fewer opponents/bosses and each one can have some time devoted to it. This is an ARPG, where you are meant to wade through the minions, take a little time with mini-bosses, and then have the big hard battle at the end of the act.

So no, don't flat nerf enemies. Don't super-buff every class. But look at each skill and make some improvements. Like with 2H melee you are super slow. Every skill swings slower than your base attack speed. Just moving around in the game already feels slower than other games but now your attacks are like swinging underwater.

I use armor break, rolling slams, earthquake, leap slam, and sometimes the molten fling skill. Using multiple skills is definitely needed, but it isn't enough. Going all damage in the passive skill tree, using a rare w/ damage bonuses and rune slots....still feels like I don't do enough damage to zones 3-5 levels beneath me. And since I went all offense I definitely don't feel like I have enough defense.

I'll have to give my melee a rest and try ranged. Seems those are the only classes played by folks saying it isn't hard.
The problem isn't difficulty, it's unrewarding tedium.
I agree, nerf it because your players say it's too hard
