I had enough of the Titan boss of Act 2, like 15 mins fightin avoiding mechanics, doing 200 dmg to a boss with 10 million? WTF
Then the stupids bombs came, of course To die when it is at like 10% of HP because running out of potions... Nah, not gonna do it all over again and again, I'm playing an arpg not a stupid From Software abusive boss fest. My god, I can't believe what I'm gonna say but yes, the guy from Blizzard was right on his tweet... To clarify, Playing a Warrior lvl 25, 62% physicall dmg reduction, 850 life, 40% all elemental resistances, playing with the node that allows a 2 handed weapon + shield... I'm done with this boss and probably with this game Albertus sempervirens

" IMHO the difficulty of the game is focused in the wrong spot. For me the progression difficulty is 100% tied to DoD [dodge or die] or Honor mechanics. I would just as soon most of that be taken out and make basic combat itself harder. Having the difficulty emerge naturally from the melee, ranged, spell caster, monster abilities, etc. would be greatly preferable from my perspective. This way if you bite off more than you can chew even a white [or blue] mob could easily kill players but having 95% of my failures be "I guess I should have timed that dodge roll better" doesn't sit well with me. |

So far i have no problem with difficulty, i'm in act 2 just killed the hyena leader. The fact that you have to synergise is great. However there are some bullshit like the insane tracking from boss skill and too many one shot mechanics. This is not an mmo. That kind of bullshit is not required. Also roll should phase you or at least partially phase you. Is just unfair that mobs can push you around like a ragdoll while you cant do anything to get out of bad situation where a 2 foot wide bridge spawn 10 enemies around you and you are just stuck.

Except of course for the medals you get for the current supporter pack. And most of the people telling those of us with medals (E.G. Visible proof of experience playing a PoE game) that we're doing it wrong. I think the people without medals with opinions just like this one are just trolls attempting to tout their egos and couldn't care less about the health of this game. |

Please go play sudoku and realize that shit is crazy. I'm lvl like 9 or something and just encountered my first one shot. This is not ok, I'm not on some crazy difficulty or high level. This is not acceptable. Yes please nerf. This is not just here for hardcore gamers, this is widely successfuly and enjoyed. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing wrong with the difficulty ramping up in harder difficulties but, at low levels just trying to enjoy and play the game while playing campaign this is completely not fun. At the very least make the moves obvious and avoidable, I don't even know what killed me. That's just bad mechanics.
For POE 1 enjoyers that are fine with this, cool, keep playing POE1 and fuck off! |

I'm not really having that much fun anymore having to constantly kite backwards trash mobs as an Sorc. I don't feel very Sorceror-like at all.

" 100% agree, the health of this game is dependent on more than just a handful of trolls. I've been playing games since I got my first Commodore 64. O.G. PC gamer since 386 (I was in denial when 286 came out, plus I couldn't afford it so had to wait for parents to suck it up with a 386 lol) Civ 1, Far Cry 1, CoD 1, Elder Scrolls 1, you name it. I'm not saying this has to be easy mode, but there's a point past which you're limiting your audience. If you want to do that like From Software, that's fine but own it like they do. I've never heard PoE being talked about like that, so I'm giving feedback accordingly. |

I found boss fights and dodge rolls super fun.
As for the gameplay loop in general, it isn't hard; it's just that most POE 1 players don't find the "correct" way of playing this game fun. As a Monk it just feels weird that I can blast and have a fair fight with bosses, but need to kite back and play safe against white mobs. Maps are too big with lots of unnecessary closed ends, lots of backtracking, and loot feels unrewarding. |
