is the xp lost on death a good design ?

Why having a feedback + suggestions forum if at the end it's "respect the developers opinion" or "skill issues" or "you don"t know anything".

I gave great examples it's why it's need. I know it's hard to understand.

All i see in your post is exageration "bulldoze through the game with zero consequences", "all the rewards with none of the risk". It feels like this xp loss is the only thing preventing me from destroying the game.

But as a casual+, i still need to kill the boss with my dps and the dozen degen zones over the arena. I still need to clear that overjuice map. The challenge is still here, the risk is still here.

So I don't who you are refering to. Feels like you're trying to be in my shoes but it's completely out of touch.
They (GGG) stated it many times, xp punishment will remain.

In the end this game is their product.

So all the whining (about xp loss) is futile.

There's a difference between actual feedback and "lol it's bad", "lol it sucks" and "my opinion is a fact".

I think he explained enough his point of view, he went clearly further than lol it's bad, you have to be honest about this.

Sure but these kinds of design philosophies can always change. They also said that they would never do an auction house and that it would ruin the game. Now we have Faustus, and they even hinted at adding more items to him and maybe even equippable gear/uniques to him later on. That's a huge shift.

I don't think it would be that much of a groundbreaking change if they just took exp loss off of softcore. I've already explained and repeated the same things enough about why its pointless to have it in the game. From now on I'll simply "+1" any new thread asking for exp loss to be removed, because that's what this feedback forum is for. Feedback and Suggestions.

Asking for exp loss to be removed is probably a losing battle but asking for Easy-Mode as a third league might still hold potential.

I think I have the answer. Instead of Harcore or Softcore...

Introducing Babycore! A revolutionary new PoE mode where you don’t just avoid XP loss on death—you actually gain 50% more XP because we wouldn’t want anyone feeling bad for failing. Enjoy 100% more HP and mana so nothing can ever one-shot you again, 50% more spirit to truly embody your inner champion, and a modest 20% more magic find because loot should rain down like confetti at a toddler’s birthday party.

Oh, and let’s throw in auto-looting, auto-killing, and auto-winning every boss fight because why should you even have to click to succeed? Babycore: PoE for the discerning player who thinks the only challenge should be picking which color your Mageblood glows.

Now you're just being arrogant and of bad faith.

Oh no, not arrogant and of bad faith! How ever will I recover from such a devastating critique? You're absolutely right—I should have been more "in touch" with the clearly game-changing, groundbreaking solution of just deleting any mechanic someone finds inconvenient. Truly, my oversight in not taking "just let me win" seriously is a grave error. My deepest apologies. Shall we add invincibility frames to Babycore while we're at it? You know, for fairness.
