" there is no poe league until feb next year so what are people supposed to do who have a lot of time off from work for the holidays? i didnt want to be a paying tester but i need something to play and $30 is still cheaper than buying some other game i would want to try Last edited by Lyutsifer665#1671 on Nov 27, 2024, 11:20:18 PM

Observably I've given GGG thousands of USD to improve the game. For the most part all of this happened. PoE 1 is a great game. A true successor to Diablo 2.
What I love about this company is that they obviously rolled a lot of our money into moving in the right direction. Improving skill selections, higher fidelity, more and more game mechanics added and skill balancing. Then we get to PoE 2 which is a complete overhaul of PoE 1. New and old returning stuff which requires again balancing. New animations as well. Compare this to a company like Blizzard that rakes in millions of dollars from multiple sales points only to serve up the most basic of content that doesn't feel passionate just necessary. Someone please compare the latest D4 expansion with Settlers. Go ahead. You can't do it with a straight face. I don't mind having given them so much money. They've given me merch, points and more than a decade of fun whenever I decided I wanted to play the game. |

You can always wait for release and it would be free. Be an Adult and save your money till release. 30 dollars to support developers that work hard on a product worth more than 30 dollars is a fair price for EA. you also get 30 dollars in MTX points for in game currency. So quit your bitching and come back in a year when its free, nothing scummy about it when your told up front, you could always go spend 100 dollars on a full release like some other games offer.

I feel like this complaint is coming from people experiencing cognitive dissonance from desperately wanting to play the game to a degree that they can't handle waiting the 6-12 months for free release, but not being able to admit this to themselves. It's not GGG's job to babysit your delicate emotional state and not their fault you lack self control

" "$30 is still cheaper than buying some other game i would want to try" So you're saying they're total scumbags for offering you a game you want more than any other and at a cheaper price point than any other. The entitlement is amazing |

" I don't see how anyone who watched the reveal and saw the ton of content that it includes would complain about $30.00 Except maybe cheapskates. I can understand the complaints if it was 3 acts only and no end-game, but it's like almost a full game, and players are complaining? seriously? Go look up how much Blizzard charged for the Diablo release, then maybe you will stop complaining so much. Last edited by Mentoya#7912 on Nov 27, 2024, 11:55:29 PM

See you all at launch, anyway.

You're obviously getting reamed because you whined about a 30-dollar entry fee for what will ultimately be a free game on THE FORUMS of said game.
However, I'm here to say you deserve to be. Not only are you paying 30 dollars for Early Access, but you're also getting 30 dollars worth of premium currency in the game. Said packs are also unnecessary if you've already spent money on the game. There's no situation of "I love PoE, I spent 10k dollars in the last 10 years," and GGG asking for a handout. A competitor who shall not be named sold a 70-dollar product and tagged on a month of Beta gameplay as part of that deal. If the thought of dropping 30 dollars makes you squeamish, wait 6 months. |

" touch grass! i joke i joke! we do not know if theres no new leagues. they could be cooking something, or not. but if they arent, then i guess we can try other games. i used to play poe standard. in fact i entirely ignored temp leagues when it was introduced. but for real theres many games for you to try besides poe. tried wukong yet? grim dawn is solid. their latest expansion is otw too. if poe isnt scratching your itch, theres other things you can do.
