Feels like a scumbag moment from GGG

"

Yeah Imagine the fallout if they gave out randoms and all the people who wanted to play never got a key.

This is how you gained entry originally to the game, there was a lottery where every X minutes a new forum signup would be given a key - and at one point was the only way to get a key for early Closed Beta.

Then they added the Beta Key to the shop for $10 to get in. For a long time, the only two ways to play the game early on were to pay for a key or hope you were a winner of the random lottery.

yeah but gamers do not care about early access title or anything like that, they see the game being released, they want it like hungry dogs. GGG is just charging $30 and taking advantage of people because they can get away with it and will make the money as if this is a paid release of a game when its NOT. Having their cake and eating it too at our expense.

Wrong. By this "logic" McDonald's is taking advantage of people by charging them for their food. Products cost money if the producer so chooses. Don't be a consumer if you want it for free later. You have nothing left to say.

I feel just having a paid key is the best option.

With random lottery and paid key, people will complain favoritism for people who won a free one.

They did it with poe 1, whats the point you trying to make? they just do what they did back then. Oh wait someone already said that and you ignored it... so troll party?
Current Build: Penance Brand
God build?! https://pobb.in/bO32dZtLjji5
Like I wasn't going to spend $30 on stash tabs, anyway? :)

The game doesn't revolve around the few people who never spend any money on the "free" game, and there is certainly no reason that player-testing/Early-Access should.

If you are absolutely committed to spending no money, just wait the 6 months until the release date.

It just doesnt feel right a free to play game will be having a paid release. and will be making more money than a good percentage of paid releases. literally just milking your wallet for less content by selling it early when it shouldnt be for sale in the first place.

It's like you spend $60 on a game and then 6 months later its on the epic game store for free, how does that make you feel lol

It's not a paid release, its a paid EA. Very important difference.

The release, which is free, wont be for at least 6 - 12 months.

Just wait if you don't want to pay for EA.
Yeah but the thing is there is no difference, its just gamers buying a game they dont care about EA or testing, they just want it. and GGG is taking advantage of that fact

Given all the ways to get games at very reduced rates or "free" (Amazon Prime/Twitch, Epic Games, GOG, HumbleBundle) - this exact scenario happens quite often and people are perfectly fine with it. You're paying to access the game early. It's a convenience fee.
Why are people upset that EA comes with a fee? I’d be more upset about PSN supporter packages not transferring to PC. But that’s just me XD
