Unironically the worst patch notes I have ever read, still no significant balance changes.
" so 3% of the players playing a skill is considered meta? Hell yea good that they nerved the skill!! Moar Nerfs! |

" Do you realise how many active skill gems there are in Path of Exile? Vortex being #13 means it is really, really popular. Please, some people here want serious conversations. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" 2 gems, and your complaining about those nerved, i complain about some of those other gems that are not meta. maybe you live in your own vortex universe but there are other gems around there that got much more of a hit, and weren't that meta. So you are right some people want a real conversation. |

" I know that numbers are not everyone's strength but I cannot take anyone serious who tries to tell me they're arguing in good faith and claim that a #13 used skill isn't popular, or that 3% across a huge spread of available skill gems isn't a lot That being said, RF absolutely got nerfed for the vast majority of players as you could usually just scale fire damage and get away with lower total health numbers, meaning you could scale it together with a secondary skill such as Fire Trap. To a degree you can still do that, but you also have to invest further into your health pool to keep up. That of course is for the normal way to build RF. Niches like the new mana RF are remain to be seen if they'll stand the test, but it's not conjecture to say that you can't pull that off without some heavy investment, which was the entire point of bringing it up and you can't argue that away. Your entire point was that popular skills remain untouched while "less popular" skills are getting the nerf hammer which is so far removed from reality it comes off as parody. But please, enlighten me further The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
