Unironically the worst patch notes I have ever read, still no significant balance changes.
" how much damage is a lot? i been playing so much one with nothing since delirium since everytime i try to play other type of punch types, dual claws, i barely hit 2m dps, while with one with nothing if i get myself to 100 on my build i can get to around 20m, usually i get to 7-10 because i stop playing at level 93-94 Last edited by suriuken#0100 on Dec 4, 2023, 10:06:51 AM

There are only meta conditions. Not meta builds.
Channeling = Dead, dead enemies can't hit you, Range > Melee. The rest is just herding. It's not specifically Deadeye. It's bows. Rainbow damage bows deal massive damage. Bows and 2hander melee get the same numerical values but bows also get quivers. Pretty easy to see what's going on. Ironically one of the best defense nodes is in Deadeye and no one takes it. Also what are you trying to do? This game has so much power creep at this point that just about any skill can clear all non-uber content. It's gotten kinda silly. They could reduce ALL bow damage output by 30% and it would still be the strongest endgame archetype.
But wait no, let's buff the most popular bow skills! Just sad. Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.

" they removed most op items this build used . so they effectively nerfed them. but rly i dont get this grief with meta builds. as if that effects you how others play a game with given tools :D |

if i'm going to be perfect honest, i like ggg, i'm a bit excited to play this league that i was planning to skip, changed my mind due to both the new ascedancies and the apparent buff to frenzy, but at the same time, i will critiquize ggg where i think they are making mistakes, like the apparent way the seen to be ignoring melee issues, and i think not reworking gladiator and assasin (two ascendancies that i think need the rework, since gladiator is just 0.2% on poe ninja and assasin/berseker 1%)

" People like to pretend that they're held at gunpoint, being forced to play whatever the perceived strongest meta build currently is I played this game for over 10k hours and while there are some builds I have revisited, I much prefer trying new things over same ol' same ol' and tinkering with my own stuff I get that not everyone can make their own builds or are just too used to picking whatever streamer XYZ does, but hey.. as a famous poem goes: "I am the master of my fate / I am the captain of my soul" The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" that's a bit me, playing for the 12 time my self made hollow palm frenzy build. i guess its different in the "trying new things part" the onyl care a do about its buffs, dont care if tornado shot, lighthing arrow is at the top, my tought about that its "good, people that like that can be powerful and feel strong", i'm just gonna play my good old build again wanting to get it to a further power than before, even if ggg never fixes melee, i think if anyone sees it their tought would be "how can you bear die that much, or not being fast" while my answer would just be "i just like to punch" |

" To be fair, I was never able to properly play with some things, like Hinekora's Lock, because I either didn't make a cheese build and simply played the way I like it and the price was jacked up by meta farmers to the point of unavailability for me. So there's a cost attached by not going meta in trade league... |

If you play Trade leagues, what other people play has a direct impact on your purchasing power within the economy. From that standpoint on, playing overpowered builds can literally be deemed an unfair advantage.
It's not hard to understand, if people run faster, kill monsters faster, drop more loot; they will inflate the economy with currency and yours will in turn, be devalued, worth less and less. If you disagree with such statement, or don't understand why, you should study basic concepts of economy. There's a reason as to why 40% of the player base constantly plays Deadeye/Pathfinder/TS/LA every single league; because the strength and QoL is unmatched. These are simply the best currency printers/farming builds in the game by far, with infinite scaling. It's the devs' role to tone these down in order to keep the game healthy. There's 18 different ascendancies in the game... Why they don't is baffling. Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.
