anyone else hate new league mechanic?

In some fights my team is pathetically weak (deal no damage, die in one hit), while the opponents are monstrously powerful. Power gap is huge. Still its quite fun.
dont expect much about balance in new mechanics
only 8 devoloper worked in this
so maybe in 2 weeks league will be fixed but until then to many ppl stop to plays
i dont even want to play bcoz gonna skip league so no point to play " like playing in standard "
Pretty new to PoE, but I'm really enjoying the League Mechanic so far. It's a nice break from the usual monster slaying and it requires a bit of thought. I'm only lvl 39 so I haven't had the greatest amount of success, but I found that I could still win a few times before becoming overwhelmed. Heck, I even won a couple of matches at lvl 20 the first time I tried it.

Some more explanation would definitely help. I didn't even know that I need to left-click and hold on totems to destroy them. Nor did I realize that if my Ancestral Totem got destroyed I would be booted from the match. Nevertheless, I figured it out quickly enough.

It also looks like they are patching a bunch of stuff around the mechanic today.

It's so nice to have something like this in the game. I came from D4 where all I get to do is run endless "maps" (Nightmare Dungeons in D4) and kill things. Pretty mindless, which is ok if you like that kind of thing, but I like a bit of variety in my gameplay.
I like the league mechanic so far.
Really like league mechanic, but not prizes.

Tried it out, while there is quite some annoying shit to deal with at times (hate Frenzymonger enemies, hate Molten Shell on totems), taking it slow and keeping an eye on your totems helps - but then again, I don't play alone so we have an extra pair of eyes going for us. I don't like how they somewhat penalize you for having multiple units instead of just a few, like giving less favour than displayed (!!) and not giving bonus rewards at the final chest (which is fine to be honest).

I like to think they saw the complaints about Crucible's channels, and just birthed a mechanic which is pretty much focused on channelling long amounts of time.

I'm really enjoying the battles to be honest but the one point I will say I agree with you on is this -

7. Instantly dying to shit you can't see or dodge off the screen.

I have nice health and ES combine maxed res and still get one shot constantly which spoils it a fair bit. But other than that the battles would be fun.

Oh and getting INSTANTLY killed again when you spawn is bull****. How hard would it be just to make you immune to damage for two seconds on respawn.

Im playing an ARPG - if I wanted to play MOBA or CTF I'd play one of those games.

I dont play PoE to be taken completely out of the game for half of my play session.

Just hit maps with a 100% self-found melee character on a 4-link. Needless to say; I'm under geared, under tuned and pretty weak. I've done quite a few battles, won some, lost some. I said earlier in this thread that I found the league mechanic intriguing, and it has only grown on me since then. I actually like it quite a bit. And while I like the reward structure of choosing your rewards, I don't think it would hurt to increase the rewards a little bit, especially with the newly introduced Sanctum in mind, where people print currency.
