Could be worse. I haven't figured out how any of that new mechanic works. Just lose every single silver coin I spend. I think pokemon league started worse due to having to keep mobs on low life to throw net ( like the original theif master quests did. ) They really need to add something, even if it's just story, on how all new league mechanics work.
Yeah I don't like it. I'll give it a few more tries and just skip it if it's still not fun for me.

you have to get to their totems, PRESS AND HOLD LEFT MOUSE ON THEM the health bar will deplete. if you set your followers as flankers, they will try to do this too.
Mouse over the information symbol on the bottom of the setup screen the (i) button.
In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice.
In practice, there is.

its a complete waste of time because nothing makes any balance sense.

1. stealing flask charges cripples 99% of classes.
2. stealing mana cripples 99% of classes.
3. pushes cripple many classes.
4. you are stunned to death if you are hit while channeling a totem, but the enemy can KEEP CHANNELING ON YOUR TOTEMS WHILE YOU BEAT ON THEM.
5. the trashiest base mob on the enemy team is stronger than your strongest.
6. your team has huge respawn times even after you get the 300% respawn speed while the enemy team does not.
7. instantly dying to shit you cant see from off screen.
8. enemy leaders that have abilities that ignore all game mechanics and just fuck over your side. like completely ignoring my teams abilities like snare/pull/slow/etc.

9. being massively resistant to all elemental effects at once? DID YOU LEARN NOTHING FROM THAT PIECE OF SHIT YOU CALLED ARCHNEMISIS?

the rewards have NOTHING to do with the fight difficulty. the Faction gains have NOTHING to do with the fight difficulty. you can waltz through a 2000 faction fight, and then instantly fail to a 500 faction fight right after it.

people like auto battlers because they are fair and balanced. yours isnt. its just a fucking joke with no proper visibility. aping a game badly isnt a good idea.

I actually really enjoy it!

Granted, I lose a lot, but it's interesting enough to make me come back for more~

I fucking hate, enemy team mobs are fucking boss level gogs, ur team are fucking wet paper shitters, the least amount of fun i ever had, will most likely skip entirely
For now it's pretty stupid...

1. The enemy team respawns very fast compared to your team.
2. They just sit near the totems and won't let you touch them, while your damage does not kill the fast enough.
3. There is no button to leave the encounter once engaged, you just have to wait for them to destroy your totem :(...
4.From what I see there is no experience gain also the rewards are garbage compared to difficulty for now.
Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party.
I find the mechanic intriguing and I really like the reward structure. But as always, it seems very overtuned for leveling. My guys seem VERY weak, and get 1-2 shots by the enemy monsters, while the enemies are very tanky.

That said, I don't really have any specialized guys yet, I'm still working out the tactics and my build is still very weak and very badly geared. I absolutely think I CAN like this league mechanic, once it feels a little bit more aligned with me and my team when it comes to balance.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.
