Boss reset on death in PoE2 will be a deal breaker IMO
I just kind of goes hand in hand with their souls like take on poe2. If they can suck in the some of the fanbase of souls game's and lock them into their seasonal live service model, its large chunk of players that otherwise would not look twice at a live service game. I do not think that many people realy corpse rush through poe as it is now, other than maybe really lategame, and these same people probably sat in 5 ways to get to 100 so they would not have to worry about xp loss anyway.

" I don't care about challenges and I don't think I ever will. Though people like to use them as some kind of bar to determine if you're allowed to speak or not. Such as, "I don't find D 4 fun it's tedious, boring, and the game's idea of challenging is just to CC you to death". Then some try hard says "Well you didn't beat Lilith, so your opinion is invalid". WTF, it's like saying you have to actually get hit by a car to say that being hit by a car hurts. Last edited by Valkaneer#5171 on Aug 4, 2023, 2:40:48 PM

Nah they wont quit. You shouldn't play the game if its " too hard " for you. Gamers these days are such babies its wild. Imagine whining because you want to steam roll the game and never die. Play Diablo 4.

" well challenges was a hard and fun when they introduced them. but with time they just made them super easy and mostly boring grind. |

Multiple friends I have tried to get into PoE quit. All have said that bosses not resetting seemed stupid. In campaign though. None made it to maps. They would likely be okay with 6 portals later

" After Act 10, that's what the 10% XP death penalty is for. You die, you lose XP, you can keep trying. No need to further penalize death than that. ='[.]'= =^[.]^= basic (happy/amused) cheetahmoticon: Whiskers/eye/tear-streak/nose/tear-streak/eye/

To make such feature, design should make also "counter service".
By it i mean - "You need make worth to fight with boss." If bosses will have still same issuses as PoE 1 that for something you need kill them at least 20 times and due to new PoE 2 design a features it might take more time and with boss reset even longer and more "annyoing", then if you at end gets just something worth of "1c" or something like that as was said a few replies above - it will get really fast old and annoying as hell Players in PoE 1 now are quite spoiled... |

" What are you even talking about? This is the only change so far that I like! "Yes, it is perfectly fair. It just sucks ass."

" if you can't beat the content, you're either hooked and keep trying/improving or you get help. if you give up, it's not the right type of game for you, because permanent improvement of you char and trying to find ways to go on will accompany you till late endgame. -- it's wrong to make the game easier to allow everybody into endgame in a cakewalk. a player having "beaten the game" is only possible if not everybody makes it to his progress or if the way required mastering some challenges. it's no achievement if it's not difficult. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
