Just saw the price of that d3 remake.. called d4.. 69 EURO fkn standart edition??
" I don't have Blight, Metamorph, Delirium - I don't get too much of these items during a league, so why would I need a separate tab for them especially when we have affinity system? Also applies to Delve, but unfortunately I bought it already. I have only 4 Premium tabs, and two of them are usually empty. Why would you need 5 quad tabs? I have one, but they are not even useful since they've added affinities. The only real use for me is to use it as a dump tab to calculate my profits at the end of the session, so it's more like my whim than a necessity. And I can assure you that my gameplay feels VERY comfortable. And for all the unnecessary stuff you listed a bit over 100$ would be extremely cheap. |

" Yeah, a lot of those are extraneous. I have all the stash tabs and Delve, Blight, Delerium were pretty useless unless you do those particular mechanics a lot. Currency, Fragment, Essence and Div are the most useful IMO. I have the gem, flask and unique tabs, and I like them, but they aren't that necessary either. |

Jeeze...
I'm sure if GGG decided to add a stash tab used for storing bad magic items with one affix, some people would consider it "mandatory" - and go out of their way to convince people how predatory and P2W it is. I actually thought I was a hoarder, but to see the amount of stash tabs people consider "mandatory"...? I'm in awe here. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

How anyone made it past that thread title is beyond me. Then again, a lot of things are. Like playing the guitar. Poaching eggs. Lasic. Danielle Steele novels. TikTok. But all of those make more sense to me than that untenably wrong title thread.

" Not having an offline version is part of how I stopped playing Path of Exile, so that's kind of an odd motivation you got there, DL. Don't pretend PoE didn't and doesn't have its own online-only woes. Always-online is a given for a GaaS which, for better or worse, DIV will be. What matters is whether or not they justify that choice with meaningful, engaging 'service'. Several ARPGs don't, including, from time to time, this one. So if they are both online only and that is an issue, then at least one of them is offering a solo or small party experience unmarred by the need to trade with an embarrassingly bad trade system. So the only barrier remains server stability and assuming the game makes decent bank I get the feeling DIV's servers are less likely to go down in a hurry than most. I totally get the hesitation after D3 but this is not, despite that ludicrous thread title, a D3 remake. If anything, Blizzard have gone to great lengths to distance DIV from D3, and for good reason. Still not a day oner for me -- I remember error 37 too. But if all is smooth for a week or so, I will jump in. Unless the demo this weekend is a total flop. It is possible. As you well know, I am a big fan of second chances and comebacks. Most of my favourite games landed hella rough but came good, long after most dismissed them. Their loss. That isn't the case here but neither are GGG the underdogs anymore. They have enjoyed ARPG supremacy for almost a decade. I say enjoyed, but really I mean financially milked and creatively squandered. So if a new generation of hungry Blizz devs eager to get past the Kotick era want to take a shot, I am all for it. But until release and the days following, we won't know if that shot even hits the target, nevermind the bullseye. PS lol at 'decent story line'. D3 had an utterly dire story line, man. Only thing anyone remembers is the butterflies...and Leah's amazingly well manicured nails. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between. " Hah, yes. I don't even remember Leah's fingernails nor the butterflies. I remember, however, that Zoltan guy had some cool lines - and I remember the shit talk by Big D himself as we got closer to killing him. That was so cliché and bad... I quit paying attention to Diablo when d3 had a rmt integrated auction house (played for a couple days) The last fiasco with their money grab mobile game had me actually laughing, glad I still didn't care. I have 0 interest in the game and only am ever reminded of it on these forums. (NOT crying about your post). I cant imagine a world where D4 is anything other than a meme. I am actually looking forward to it this time, not to play but just to groan and laugh like I did with the last shameful product they released

" Nope , they would buy it and convince people how p2w the game is... Like they do in DImortal. A lot of hypocritic people out there...Guess it's the Asmongold effect The only fix the game needs right now to remove this p2w fiasco, is give any free account a trade stash tab. Out of the 4 you have standard one to be trade tab...The game would be fixed right there...Because right now yes, even I consider the trade tabs being pFcommodity. There are ways to by pass this , buy slow , punishing and not intendent to be used. If GGG would give 1 free trade tab to every new account everything would be utterly solved. 1. You like the game and want to push it to max, invest in quality of life tabs. 2. You want to be a casual pleb that just burns 1-2 hours a day in the game, just have 3 tabs and 1 trade tab to be as efficient as it gets. If you play 2 hours a day, 3 normal tabs is more than enough for your daily routine of killsing, and 1 trade tab more than enough to earn 2-3 chaos per day. Because if you play casual you won't have items to fill a damn trade tab, unless you sell all your junk which is the same as playing un-efficient. Never invite Vorana, Last To Fall at a beer party. " I agree here, and have posted that before. Personally, I would've implemented it as an in-game progression system where you got a premium tab when beating Kitava. In my eyes, no one needs (or is even encouraged) to trade before that point. But to go from there, to people advocating for more or less all tabs with a function should be given out to everyone is a little bit overboard, if you ask me. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" It's not like GGG will change it anyways. But for arguments sake, monetizing currency, maps, and fragment tabs is toxic and predatory no matter how you slice it. They are trying to make money by stressing players inventory management decisons. Do you actually know how fast the free tabs fill with just those three without paying for tabs for example? Its the reason the stacks quantites exist (or unstackable) in the first place. To try and get you to pay out of frustration. 5000 vs 10 for chaos is ridiculous. That's what is overboard if you ask me, is how far GGG is willing to push frustration and hold QoL hostage for money. I'm not sure how anyone could defend GGG tabs at all, other than "gGg GoTta mAkE $$$ bRo!" Idk, the farther we get with GGG and them introducing different currencies and fragments (and league mechanics) to store, just for revenue streams...feels bad man. I actually laughed out loud at one of the D4 Dev interviews when they said they "won't be selling stash space" when discussing the game store.
