It's time for GGG to take back reigns of trade for the sake of the game
Item filters and PoB are all you really "need".
The rest is just bloat used by people with overwhelming FOMO. |

" RMT is here because GGG stopped caring. It would be VERY easy to track RMT trades, there is just no money in it. Policing their game costs money, and customers. They would need to spend money to actively ban accounts who they want to spend money. Due to this game being F2P, botting, RMT, etc, will always run rampant. Botting in this game has no barrier of entry, therefore, botting and RMT will always exist as long as there are tradable items. One more reason Diablo4 will be better. " I sincerely hope that D4 kicks GGG into action that POE has asked for, for years. A GW2 commodity AH isn't that much to ask for. RMT has gotten outrageous and has real impact on chase items. There is a reason no casual player will ever touch a MB or HH unless they are the .0000001% that has it drop. I love the tool that people elude to in this forum for its bulk trading, but relying on a third party for this is a bad look on GGG. They claim to be against it for power creep reasons... yet condone it via third party tools. AKA: Too much dev time to fix it. |

" I mean Chris has said that buying scarabs is how they intend players to control their content, so it seems like this is intended. You build your game with systems like this in mind of course it's normal. |

" No. RMT is in the game because it's a loot/RNG based game with trading. All popular games with trading and RNG have RMT. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

" Just to chime in on this point, RMT exists beyond games with trade. When you remove trading, accounts become the thing that gets sold. Thanks for all the fish! Last edited by Nubatron#4333 on Feb 16, 2023, 1:00:12 PM

" If they cared, I wouldn't see the same gold sellers online that I have had on my friends list for 2+ years. Last edited by Nulledout#3809 on Feb 16, 2023, 12:59:37 PM

at this point GGG should just make mirror services a blanket tos violation.
hyperbole aside, RMT makes games worse. Think of all the times Chris Wilson said that any Quality of life changes would make players value the game less. They wouldn't feel the weight or whatever. They couldn't experience the joy of chaos exalt slamming items for the chance of a good outcome. Or even that Chaos orbs are divine shards. Time to own up and be consistent. This issue may need an entire manifesto about 3rd party communities and their role in the game. People buying and selling in game items for money is never ok and is illegal in many countries. Other developers have really cracked down on this stuff. |

" This can happen but unlike in Dota where you can transfer hero items from acc to acc, here mtx are acc bound so it's not as appealing to do something like that. Also acc swapping is something Steam (Dota) detects very well. Last edited by TorsteinTheFallen#1295 on Feb 16, 2023, 4:00:48 PM
