It's time for GGG to take back reigns of trade for the sake of the game

" Yeah and all of those people are actively using it right? The Wolcen Discord has 33k members which is around 32,995 more people than play the game. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Feb 15, 2023, 3:09:10 PM

" Yes of course, this wasnt a player concurrency observation, nor is anyone under the impression you need to register more than once, or per use. I'm not sure how changes the premise of its functionality, or its popularity? "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

It's nice to be one of the few players who's able to play the game fine without any of the third party garbage like tft or other discord services. Tools like PoB and Craft of exile are fine as they simply let you plan your bilds/crafts, but everything beyond that shouldn't be allowed at all at all.
cause yea bulk sells and all that stuff is also easily done over the trade website. Trade 820 is a good proof of carry services and all without the need of any third party discord. Punishing potential scammers to ensure a saver experience within the global trade chat would also help some. People wouldn't need a shady trash discord just to ensure to get whatever they pay for safely. They could do so much more to make the game less reliant on insecure trades. The change of harvest is one of them, and they should have done it with everything else since leagues. But a simple change of their tos regarding scamming would already fix a large portion of the faulty ingame service/trade system. people would still do their shady rmt stuff anyways, but that's a problem in every game. you can't really stop them but ggg could easily take a large amount of innocent players away from their shit with simple changes. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

The fact that a third party website/addon has so much control over the in-game economy and how players interact (or don't, if you're banned) is absolutely crazy.
GGG needs to stop these types of third party interactions with their game/community.. especially ones that enable this type of social/economic manipulation. This level of corruption/abuse is actually disgusting. Though I've been playing since closed beta, I'll likely move on to something else or just play SSF until GGG fixes this. I don't think TFT is ideal for the game but there was no proof of TFT wrongdoing shown in the videos. I checked the timing of the person in question's ban/unban and it was just 11 months ago. If something was happening it absolutely, 100%, no question was also happening 11 months ago. GGG cleared that person. That means either GGG and the entire game is crooked or the person in question is innocent.
The only other arguments would be that the person is the most slick launderer of all time and that there's no way to tell from the logs (impossible), that GGG felt bad for the owners of the mirror service items that would be deleted so they ignored the offenses (extremely unlikely), or that GGG believes TFT is so integral to the game that a noble lie was necessary to keep them running (probably impossible.) As for the other alleged offenses, I didn't see any proof that TFT can manipulate Discord chat so that they can buy bulk price items before other users. That seems impossible. They certainly can't manipulate the trade site to buy out all Einhar memories/beasts before others can. Prices are always extremely volatile when someone is giga crafting with rare resources. When the person suggested that TFT raised the prices when he came online just to spite him I almost choked laughing. A rich person or guild COULD set a bulk buy order on TFT to pay 50 divines for every Einhar memory to make triple implicit synth items impossible for the rest of league, thus guaranteeing a monopoly on a triple synth mirror bow. As long as that currency was fairly earned in the game and there is no cash out to real money there's zero problem. If the bow is that far ahead of everything else that's a game design problem to be solved by GGG, not an economic problem. |

" You cannot possibly be this naive. And it's just the tip of iceberg. GGG before the Tencent buyout had people with ownership stakes also running PoE currency selling websites. If you dont think there are winks and nods going on with friends and acquaintances (which totally legal, but shady af) running RMT sites, well... I guess ignorance truly is bliss. " Well, there is now, apparently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFInLj6hWHU. Also, assuming gx3 is crooked or that the person is innocent as the only two possible options is really bad logic. We don't have all the proof gx3 has or how they actually gather proof, and evidently, something has happened. If gx3 has proved anything in the past few months with the double down on loot and lack of transparency, is that they make mistakes, willingly or otherwise. There's a few things to consider: the service TFT provides is something they can't replicate easily, but issue lies with the same thing gx3 has always "struggled" with, they refuse to ban people that scam others even with overwhelming evidence. That's the hole thing with TFT, that they can provide services with reliability and you won't be scammed. Also, an Auction House is the best way to avoid scammers and other issues with reliability. It would cripple TFT in a major way, as if instead of pm'ng 100 people and getting response from 1, everyone one you buy from is an assured sell. It would only really left them with more specific services such as Build sells and carries. It's left to gx3 to do something that will fix it or be complacent. Plus, the hole concept of "bulk trade" is because a manual trade is, and always will be, shittier than an automated one. AH would just fix, literally, almost everything wrong with PoE community, if gx3 stop being a whiny kid about it.
