is diablo 3 worth buying?

I don't even..

The answer is no !
Maybe if it was 20$, yes.
Cause I dont even have clothes that expensive as diablo 3 is now.

It's the same as in D2 pretty much, except now you don't have to spend hours upon hours to maybe find 1 thing you are looking for.

Yeah, no. I've discussed this...in this very thread, I think. I'd never think to look up a third party website to buy/trade items for a game. Stick it IN the game and I'll totally junk out on the meta-game. Like I said, EvE all over again. I had to trade on the in-game market for almost a year to afford the ship I wanted.
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period.

Its not same at all. D3 easy to use, blizz supporting it is not same as D2 hard to use, not supported.

What you mean is that players can't ignore it now.
I think the problem with Diablo 3 is quite simple. A lot of people say Diablo 2 is one of the best games ever made, and they have waited 11 years for a sequel. How the heck do you live up to those expectations?

You take 11 years of game logic and technology and hundreds of millions of dollars, and you make a better game?

It's a lot like big government vs. private enterprise. You have this huge, grossly-overfunded bureaucracy which undertakes to provide a service, with mediocre results, while a tiny, underfunded private company painstakingly and lovingly crafts a similar business, and in only a fraction of the time.

Who cares more? That's who produces the superior results. =^[.]^=

I agree, as my post was mostly in jest...

Ultimately, the team decides what the game will be (for the most part.) If what they want to do aligns with what you want to play, then you've got a great game... and if not, it'll be bad (for you.)

One thing I can comment on is the lack of open source technology. It should be trivial to look up game engine techniques that have been used over the past 15 years... but it's not.

There is no comprehensive single place where developers of big games, days gone by, have discussed their biggest engine successes. Part of this is because it's proprietary and we live in a terrible capitalist society...

A lot of energy goes into rebuilding stuff from the ground up with only small hints at what made certain engines wildly efficient... to the detriment of the industry.

It means that everything is balance now around mass usage of RMHA, it must bring income to blizzard and support their server costs.
I have the collectors edition of diablo 3 and have been a general diablo fan since i was 9. Diablo 3 is nothing like D2. D3 has huge flaws which need to be fixed ASAP if they expect the game to continue.

The main one I would say is Itemization. Its just horrible. I dont want to get into all the details because i'm at work and i dont have time however to me its the most glaring flaw with the game.

Do not purchase imo. I'm back playing PoE after spending 120 ish dollars a week ago...
