Loot goblins problem will be even worse in 3.20 Update 3 after two weeks of Sanctum.
Update after 2 weeks of Sanctum. Seems like GGG listened and did with loot goblins exactly what they should have - remove extra axis of scaling (rarity) out of the equasion. Loot goblins now are way less common and drop way less Divines.
Ladies and gentleman, you can rest easy. Issue of loot goblins seems to be solved. Update 1. You now need to wear MF gear at all times.
Because you don't know which one is the loot goblin and they work the same (hopefully this will be changed) so if you don't wear MF gear you are gonna get couple chaos orbs instead of Divine Orbs from them.

If you think that loot goblins didn't completely messed up MF vs No MF balance that existed prior, you need to cover your basics first before commenting. Also because of said balance it's irrelevant that MF always resulted in more loot, because when loot goblins entered the chat divide grew exponentially.

" As I said in another thread: You don't know if you "have to" wear MF gear at all times, because we don't know how the new reward structure will feel. For all you know, it may feel pretty good - and you may feel like you're progressing just fine without MF gear. Sure, if you compare your solo non-MF adventures with organized MF groups, the "need" for MF gear will still be present, but should always have been present. " I hope so too. But the amount of information they could tell us, is probably very limited, as this has more to do about the feel of the game than it has to do about numbers. The main thing here, is that the game feels "fair" to play without MF, and that the progression feels balanced. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Having to wear MF gear all the time is actually better because the point is to be able to play uninterrupted instead of having FOMO moments where you have to drop everything you are doing to set up a cull. Like I said in the other thread, MF might be more important but the game is getting rid of an incredibly unfun aspect which is needed.

"Good luck abusing this "broken" mechanic! Most likely MF will do exactly what it did before 3.19: better loot, but most MF characters will farm low tier maps because they don't have enough tankiness/dps to clear T16 maps comfortably. |

The way I see it, there are two aspects to the "loot goblin" problem:
1. The modifier "Dropped items are converted to currency based on Rarity" enabled "% increased rarity of items" to affect currency for the first time, and 2. The Lunaris|Solaris|Shakari-touched label allowed the players to see which mobs had that mod The manifesto only addressed the second part of the problem, and is silent on whether the item-to-currency mod will still be in the game. If the mod stays, but is only hidden, then we will still see currency lootsplosions happen. And they will be scaled by MF gear. Maybe they won't be 50 or 70 or 80 Divine Orbs large, but I guarantee you the first time somebody posts a screenshot of their MF-juiced 10-Divine lootsplosion, we'll be thrown right back into the "loot goblin" discussion again. Everybody who is not wearing MF gear will feel left behind in a way that wasn't a problem when item rarity didn't affect currency drops. - here's my sig
