What's your #1 issue with the current state of the game?
Out of all the problems this game has right now, I think trading exalts for divines made the worst mess because the economy of the game is not prepared for the switch - not enough cards or divine sources and no reason to have so many exalt sources. It punishes unlucky players the most because you have no failsafe, like exalt recipe, to grind. The other one is harvest making you click 5 towers that drop 20 essences each. Such a waste of time. Just put the mobs in there like in a vaal area and be done with it. Everything else I can live with, including the busted mobs oneshotting me with some crazy mechanics overlap that there is no way to build for.

For me there are couple problems:
- non identifiable strange 1shots, usually from ground on-death effects - losing exp on death is very outdated (I would rather have x20 increased exp to level from 95+, but stop losing exp on death) - loot goblins - trash loot from mobs. Reduce magic/rare drops by 99.99%, but make the ones that drop actually count. White bases can drop as usual, if a person wants to craft simple item. |

My biggest issue with the game right now is how GGG has gone radio silent, apparently not giving a damn. And that is after Chris' post about improving communication. The irony..
I'm at a point where I genuinely believe they are just trying to sit this one out, thinking people would forget about the garbage state the game is in, just continueing business as usual with the start of next league. The worst part is, they are probably right. GGG might lose a portion of their current playerbase (well, seeing the player retention that's already the case), but there's always gonna be new players and their wallets. Atleast for now. Mainly the wallets matter it seems anyway. That's the impression I'm getting lately. As sad as it may sound, I'm really hoping that the player numbers continue to diminish, to a point where GGG can't ignore how this "vision" is a complete failure. But hey, maybe I'm wrong and they are actually working hard to make the next league more fun and to the liking of their playerbase instead of following their current vision which, seeing all the negativity everywhere on the internet, will likely result in this company's demise sooner or later. Thing is, by the time this could happen, the people who only care about money will have more than full pockets, unfortunately. Trading Exalts and Divines was the single biggest mistake in their history in and any online game I've seen. GGG more or less killed thousands of accounts that people have been working on for 10 years. Who ever thought that was a good idea needs a firing.

The issue is this swap was done to make people use exalted for their intended purposes but ended up making divines not used to for their use xD

" The worst aspect of this is how chaotic the difficulty curve is. Before AN, if your build was getting clapped by rare mob in white maps, it was a strong signal there might be something wrong with the build. But now, that rare mob might well be a rare AN mod combination that happens to counter your build, and you might not meet it again for the next 200 maps, so the build is actually perfectly fine. My favorite example of this is Quinn getting blown up by blue mobs: https://clips.twitch.tv/BelovedVictoriousShrewOneHand-07EunkAFhVYCtzEz And then afk tanking uber exarch on the same character: https://clips.twitch.tv/ZealousGenerousArtichokeOpieOP-TYJNg08LGEjAhshW | |
I really dislike the exalt-divine switch as well, though not for its strange upheaval of the in-game economy. I always felt the exalted orb was the iconic currency for the game, the symbol for the whole game. I feel that culturally the game has suffered a big loss relegating the exalted orb to obscurity.
This signals the end of a post. I apologise to everyone who had to suffer through it.
