Blizzard has damaged a lot of trust over the last couple of years, so I will just wait a few weeks after the release of D4.
P2W like its in DI and nasty MMO content would be red flags for me as a SSF player

GGG's pricing in their store is stupid. Even ludicrous, as you say. Lootboxes are predatory, and has nothing to do in a video game. Do those facts make Blizzard any better? No. They both have their flaws. No need to defend any of them. Neither of them need your defense.

But you know it's possible to discuss the monetization models alone, favoring one of them, without defending the company behind it, right? If I say that ludicrous MTX prices PLUS a full, AAA price is worse than ludicrous MTX prices in a F2P game, I'm not really "defending GGG".

Blizzard are disgusting now. POE has nothing to worry about.

D4 will still be successful because people can't let go of a franchise that's been demolished. Their prior achievements have been the only thing carrying them, if they started out like this they'd go under.

I love their dishonest reasoning for having trading restrictions again, we all know why they want it.

Imagine having game passes with a box price and then a cash shop on top. But, you can blame whales and gamers for giving deves this permission to be so greedy.

Even D4's videos the apparent creators just sound so detached from the franchise and genre, like they just started playing it. A lack of passion, they refuse to fix D3's mistakes, so I refuse to support them.

To be fair when it comes to PoE. While I dont like it that some stash tabs are needed, because the game is designed around a currency clusterfuck, I can live with it because:

- PoE is free to play or lets say to try out. Most players will leave the game bevor character lvl 10 and there are plenty of reasons for this
- If a player still likes the game and gets to endgame (maps) then I guess its ok to support the dev with a few bucks for the stash tabs you will need
- cosmetics, while overpriced, you dont need them for the gameplay. Only to live the phantasy and that one is a bit tricky. To look cool is understandable and the game is also designed in a way that every normal armour looks like crap. Tough call.But that one is no P2W so it just feels unfair to blame the devs for something like this in a free to play game
