blizzard went down hill big time. POE 2 for the win!

Activision are one of the most successful biggest publishers in the game. They understand making money is not about making "good games".

The EA/Activision Approach:
- Take game, dumb down gameplay mechanics to the point players barely make any decisions. 1 number to stack/care about, have all skills and free re-spec anything anytime. Everyone has to be a winner.
- Innovation is risk, let smaller studios take the risk of innovating and going bankrupt. Procure studio or just copy game when a winning formula hits the market.
- Build game targeting console from ground up. Bigger market, controller centric design generally limits gameplay complexity.
- make game relatively easy hinges on point 1, everyone has to be a winner.
- build in as many MTX and addictive gambling mechanics possible into game.
- brand is powerful, gamers tolerate bad and same same games (just look at the 37x copy paste COD games). You could release 5x D3's and gamers will keep coming back.
- dump game after 6-9 months when bulk of sales and hype are over, any disgruntled players at that point will buy the next game anyway.

Rake in gigantic profits, repeat.

GGG in comparison are an S tier studio in terms in focusing on complex gameplay catered to hardcore gamers. MTX is a necessity but not aggressively jammed in your face, i'd say actual cost of POE into 1000+ hours is about $20-40? in stash tabs (with really currency and maps being absolute necessities).

Currency tab is $5. they could make that an unlockable (and intro to their MTX shop) in beating the campaign to reward new players at this point.

This title is lame. I have to wait 3 more years for POE 2, just since Diablo 4 has some fashion only options? That's how this is titled.

So far D4 is only fashion, the problem is many don't trust it'll stay that way.

We all like GGG's business & dev teams more than Blizzard. Tho if POE 2 doesn't have open world npc caravan wagon npc 100 person towns that you capture; capture the flag and open zoned story immersion zones with some pvp elements & world bosses like D4 is going to have. Well d4 it is.

I like the values that GGG has, tho if POE stays with Battle.net's version of a multiplayer forever, I don't see the evolution. POE has many other elements I enjoy however. & probably more polished.

Tho to the guy that said MTX isn't jammed in your face for POE, umm wut? They literally ruined the progression of Act 10 story zones, just so they may sell MTX hideout stuff. & make the game about portals.

I want Guild Wars 1 towns, Ragnarok Online 3 roadmap, Maplestory 3 jumping puzzles, Lost Ark 2 arena pvp, Dragons Nest 1vs1 dodge rolls, Guild Wars 2 eight note instruments, & some Witcher rp taverns to play Gwent.

Your asking for a completely different game. Why are you here and not playing lost ark, guild wars or the other 1000 failed MMO's that all do those things you want?

POE is not another MMO thankfully.

How? I know there is a "shop" button and a small banner on login. I don't think I've ever seen a MTX popup or advertisement playing POE.. ever. What happens in Act 10?, portals?!, hideout stuff? *scratching head*.

Blizzard have a mindless horde of fans. They will eat anything they will be served. POE2 could be the best game ever made and D4 the worst but "money succes" will go to D4 no matter what.

Well depends on who is reviewing their games. These games aren't promoting themselves just based off trailer hype. The reviewers play a role, either half the role, maybe more. See Asmongold & tell him how Final Fantasy trended half based off him alone.

Blizzard also lost street cred with Diablo Immortal.

Get a Angry Joe review for 400k, a Lazy Peon review for 400k views, a Josh Strife stream for another 400k views, Asmongold for 400k views. & Bedbananas.

Really tho, the irony is, MMORPG players are reviewing POE to help POE & these guys on the forums somehow believe single players are promoting poe? Elden Ring yt'ers aren't the ones giving poe spotlight.

The popular poe only based youtubers, are like knowledge university people or build show suggestion players, not really promoters for people who haven't started poe yet.

& getting 1 review per person for POE 2 isn't good enough either. It's about re reviews after their first review for features they'd want to hightlight a 2nd time over.

I'm not here to disagree with anything there but it is important to point out that 400k angry joe 400k lazy peon and 400 josh add together to about 600k users. How is 400+400+400=600k? Well, those are the same people watching them, it is how youtube algo works.

Watch one video about fallout76 being buggy mess, and all the auto-play and recommended videos will turn in to fallout76 videos. Do not you dare to subscribe to one of those creators, might as well just move in to irl vault at that point.
I just finished watching 30. video about how the "rings of power" will suck because i clicked on one by mistake week ago and i'm often too lazy to stop autoplay while gaming.

What matters to blizzard at this point is China, our youtubers saying bad stuff about the game do not reach them thru great firewall.

it seemed like it was all cosmetics only except from the early access.

unless theres some shenanigan i didnt get it looks pretty fair to me... except that early access thing like i said.
