diablo 1 and 2 are INFINITELY better games than poe and have a score above 90 on metacritic, even diablo 3 (aside from the disaster of its release) has a score of 88. PoE set out to be a spiritual successor to Diablo 2 but NEVER came close Besides that, it never came close to the numbers and the quality of the game, you can argue the longevity of the contents but D2 has a HUGE fan base to this day even after more than 20 years, I understand that after you have spent thousands of dollars on fremiun of PoE is hard to admit but what I'm saying is a fact, D1 and 2 are better than PoE ever was or ever will be, had a reach tens of times greater and currently I have much more fun in D3 than here and unlike You I play a lot of games for fun I love PoE but that's not why I exempt it from its many flaws and even less I fail to see the many qualities of the competitors

Oh boy you are so wrong as much as i love POE...i played both. Extensive gameplay time in D1 D2 all the expansions and D3 all bought. D4 in terms of gameplay is so crisp it will blow us away. And Blizzard will fix what they broken sooner or later.

Aren't you a little old to believe in Santa? Yes D4 looks shiny in all the right places, but under the hood it's the same engine as D3. Of course if you liked D3 you will like D4.

Sure I played d3 back in 2012 and liked it too, but compared to PoE's systems it just looks simplistic and sleep-inducing.

Of course all this is nit-picking, what matters most is the endgame. If it's just Rifts 2.0 it's gg, better luck next time. Add to that the fact that more and more diablo streamers are voicing concerns regarding p2w "elements" and, yeah, I'm not optimistic.

PoE is also free. Most players on the F2P carousel likely won't spend anything here either.

I have no love for Blizzard, nor will I ever install DI, doesn't change anything... If overall numbers were good, and showing a positive trend, GGG would show them, with pride. They clearly don't.

PoE after 10 years can get 100k+ concurrent players WITHOUT COUNTING CHINA (You know PoE exist in China as well? It probably has 5 times more players playing it out there, but since its separated it doesnt count. Players playing on console doesnt count towards the playerbase either) You compare ALL DOWNLOADS to small portion of concurrent players you can see on steam. Thats just pathethic. Wanna bet how many will DI have after 10 years?

D2 is okaish nowadays, I wouldnt touch it without one of the big mods. The main game lacks a ton of things people learned to like in modern games.

Agreed. The amount of Copium D4-younglings seem to consume reaches addiction-levels way beyond anything i´ve ever seen. Like, how delusional do people have to be that after the performance of the last 10 years Blizzard has the capabilities to produce an endgame close to PoE - sure, their stuff is shiny. Play it for another 3 months then, pay 100 dollars for it or 300 for the collectors edition and then it´s back to PoE.

D2R is cute, it fits the nostalgia bill during the first 20-30 hours but I haven't played it in a while, I hear they've patched some new shit in it which on paper sounds great but somehow I... can't... force myself to give it another go.
