PoE = Path of Kaoms Heart, Solution = Buff hp on chests

GGG. This time you did bad... Path of Kaom's is bad idea. The game will die like this trust me. Feel free to quote me on that if you do not do something.
Yep, this thread and like many others that have complained about Kaoms are kinda spot on.

The only way a Kaoms is bad would be if you are a dual wielder or a sword n' board user.
But the only thing you need to do really is get an 5-6 Link 2 hander in almost any build and get a kaoms. Hm. Pherhaps wouldnt be the best for all builds, but for the majority it sadly would be.

Just look at some Bow Maras with 11k+ hp and still insane damage.

AND like always, Kaoms favors RANGED oritented class more then melee. Due to you can pick more life nodes and dont need to sacrifice as much DMG due to how scaling works with skills and ranged oriented items.

But yeah, this is the only Unique i think should be nerfed or like some one stated, redo the armor and evasion formula.

And they must really do that... I mean stacking life is sooo much better in the current game It's not even funny.

Kaoms is used simply because there is no defense in this game.
Simply stack as much life as you possibly can while playing as safe as possible.

It's simple really, This game is sooo imbalanced that a normal character can have right around 4k life in end game and normally be safe. However from time to time you can encounter mobs that will hit for around 6k-8k damage and only those who survive are the ones that are full hp builds.

I mean who cares if you are armored like a literal tank if you are facing ungodly damage right?

Buffing hp on chest would help but it really isn't the issue.
Look at the beginning of the game, You have no armor and these zombies can hurt you. Then you find a piece of armor and they hurt a lot less... Not in end game though.
With this insane formula they use if a monster could kill you while you are naked you are still going to die wearing the best armor in the game.

I dislike it very much. I hate putting all my points into life until the character hits like 70. You have to unless you want to move around like a snail though.
Which is the reason I hardly play this game anymore.
All people talk about what should be done in order to make it better and here are my suggestions:


1: Make a few BIG life nodes instead of many small ones so all classes may take a few and not all

2: Give mobs more life end game

3: Get rid of dmg spikes end game.


The point of this is to make so more or less all builds( apart from glass cannons and full tanks)

get like 50% defensive and 50% dmg nodes. Buffing monster hp would make full tanks useless as they will deal no dmg and reducing dmg spikes ( apart of some boss attack that have a predictable pattern) will make sure that we player can and should invest in offensive nodes to tackle the bigger hp pool of the mobs.

Example 1: Etupz has 11k life and 6kdmg but 1 rare mob hits slowly for 1k with all their dmg affixes. Etupz takes 3min to kill said rare mob. Rest of the mobs hit for 50-100 dmg if they are white

Example 2: I got 3000 life and i take 10 seks to kill said rare mob.


Maybe my math is bad but the point is to make the game a bit more offence oriented than a full on take hp nodes spectacle.
I like how no dev has responded to this issue or made any comment at all about it. I'm guessing we have a World of Warcraft Ghostcrawler plays a mage so mage is always OP issue here. Maybe some gear favoritism in the office?

Any logical person can see how overpowered this item is but it remains unchanged. It is GAME BREAKING. The item is literally breaking Path of Exile.

Are you serious? Please don't lump "logical gamers" in with your ridiculous blanket statements.

After they remove Kaoms you would be crying 6L astral's are broken now because other chests dont have implicit AR. It's a high end unique with a high end pricetag that you can't even use with 1handed builds. Besides there are tons of players who don't even use it. Just because the 4 people you watch on Twitch are all 12k hp marauder doesn't mean that has any real reflection on the actual playerbase.

See, they post in many idiotic threads in (Beta) General Forums, but not into this thread.

And why? BECAUSE they know we are fucking damn right with our rage about kaoms.

There are many good and much more totally useless uniques,

Even with lioneyes Im fine, its a very good bow, but a very very good rare thicket can beat it. Lioneyes is in no way gamechanging. kaoms is doing that.



I dont really know what to say and criticize anymore, it has all been said and like 95% of ppl in this thread dislike kaoms too, other 5% own a kaoms.



Like I said, Kaoms is very rare and expensive and rare, but it cant be the case that its better like 2 very good armor chests TOGETHER.


But it seems, again, that devs dont care.

I put together all solutions ppl mentioned here and my opinions to them:

1) "make bigger hp nodes" imo nonsense, because that makes kaoms even better

2) "nerf kaoms" will probably not happen because devs are stubborn tortoises

3) "buff hp on chests" 2nd best solution imo

4) "buff armor/evasion in general" and thats the best solution imo. Its jsut haa to be done like that, other 4 solutions are just more or less workarounds.
Neurotypicals are the worst thing this planet ever experienced.
I love how on the same page of the forums there is often one thread complaining about useless, bad uniques while there is another demanding one of the few true end game uniques gets nerfed.

I am sorry you just dont understand how overpowered this item is.

My Duelist never dies. Ever. doesn't even come close. Doesn't suffer elemental status ailments, ignores reflect mods. ignores complex map mods. NEVER dies. Dont be in denial..if you have a kaoms you know its overpowered. Argue to make the game fair and balanced not to suit your own wants and needs.

Even more hilarious.... 8 APS with a 2h wep (multistrike/fasterattacks/heavystrike) max life leech and 8000HP in pvp with cannot be stunned or frozen = lulz.
